Last year, the School did a good job of registering for military service for civil servants within the prescribed age; registering and managing reserve troops and technical equipment. Grasping the actual situation and the policy of the higher-level Military Command, the School's Military Command directed the consolidation and stabilization of the organization and staffing of the self-defense force, strictly managing reserve soldiers and technical equipment; organizing training to improve political qualities and practical skills for self-defense officers and soldiers to meet mission requirements and be ready for combat; closely coordinating with patrol and guard forces, maintaining political security and social order and safety, protecting the safety of the workplace and the area. In May and July 2013, the School's Militia Platoon participated in all competitions and sports events of Thanh Xuan District and the Capital Command.
The school regularly maintains 01 mobile squad in charge of ensuring security in the school area; 01 mobile squad is maintained in charge of fire and explosion prevention, storm and flood prevention; sends officers to fully participate in fire and explosion training courses organized by Hanoi City Police.
In 2013, the School was awarded the title of Victory Unit by Thanh Xuan District Military and 02 individuals were commended at all levels.
In 2014, the key tasks of national defense and security work were identified as:
- Strengthen and supplement the school's Military Command and core self-defense forces.
- Register for preliminary recruitment work to grasp the source, call for civil servants of age to participate in the 2014 military service examination.
- Registering for the declaration of students ready for military service, registering for military service transfer to the school in 2014.
- Implement training plans and be ready for combat.
- Carry out well the work of education and training in national defense and security for cadres within the prescribed scope.
- Develop plans and maintain core self-defense forces to protect agencies, ensure security, order and school safety.
- Raise awareness of fire and flood prevention for staff and students, proactively respond to situations that arise.
- Participate in social activities, charity, gratitude, and military support work.
