80 Chung-Soo scholarships awarded.

On December 27, 2018, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded 80 Chung Soo scholarships to students with outstanding academic achievements in the past academic year.

The Chung Soo Scholarship Fund of South Korea was established in 1962 by Mr. Park Chong Hee with the aim of nurturing talent to serve the socio-economic development of South Korea. Later, the Fund expanded to other regions to contribute to human resource development in several developing countries.

From 2007 to the present, the Foundation has selected the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – a leading center for high-quality training and research in the social sciences and humanities nationwide – to award 920 scholarships. These scholarships have become a source of encouragement and material support for students in overcoming difficulties in life and striving for academic excellence.

Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Vice Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

On behalf of the university leadership, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the Chung Soo Foundation's support in awarding scholarships to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, encouraging them in their studies and training. The Vice Rector hoped that these students would continue to strive for opportunities to receive scholarships in the coming years. The Vice Rector also highly valued the significance of this activity in the context of the positive results of Vietnam-Korea cooperation.

Ms. Vuong Thi Thom gave a speech on behalf of the scholarship recipients.

The teachers took a photo with all the students who received the Chung Soo Scholarship.

On behalf of the scholarship recipients, Ms. Vuong Thi Thom (Faculty of Sociology) gave a speech and expressed her gratitude to the Chung-Soo Scholarship Fund and the faculty of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for creating favorable conditions for the students. She also pledged to use the scholarship practically for her studies, improving her research skills, foreign language proficiency, and computer literacy.
