The exhibition displays 63 paintings and calligraphy works from Iran. Painting in Iran, an ancient country, has been preserved and passed down through generations. One of the most important genres of Iranian painting is miniature painting. Iranian miniature painting is, in essence, Iranian painting, largely incorporating mysticism and Islamic thought, and expressing spiritual values. Iranian calligraphy also has a rich history in Iran and is primarily a transition from conventional writing to calligraphy in the Islamic world, as practiced by Iranians. Iranian calligraphy is mainly used for writing the Quran, religious texts, mystical poems by great poets, or in the form of inscriptions on buildings.
