The University of Social Sciences and Humanities provides Korean language training for Samsung employees.

On March 16, 2015, the opening ceremony for a Korean language course for employees of Samsung Electronics (South Korea) took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) and Mr. Cho Ho Seok (Deputy General Director of Administration and Human Resources of Samsung).

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim affirmed that this activity symbolizes cooperation between a leading Vietnamese university and a leading South Korean electronics company. The leaders of Samsung Group have shown foresight in investing in improving the Korean language skills of their Vietnamese employees. Language is a crucial tool for enhancing cultural awareness, fostering understanding, and building empathy.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University) highly appreciated the cooperation between the University and Samsung Company.

This activity is even more significant in the context of the increasingly comprehensive and strong development of cooperative relations between Vietnam and South Korea. South Korea has become a symbol of development in the region and Asia today. Korean companies are increasingly present in the Vietnamese market.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim also stated that the professional and highly qualified teaching staff of the School, the investment and support from Samsung, and the enthusiasm of the students will be important factors contributing to the success of the course.

Mr. Cho Ho Seok expressed his admiration for the teaching staff, the Korean language proficiency of the students in the Korean Language Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, as well as the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the opening ceremony. He stated that he was completely confident in this course and urged the students to strive and seize the opportunity to gain knowledge from the university's teachers.

The course will last 12 weeks and will focus on Korean listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as knowledge of Korean culture and history.
