The Oriental Studies Party Branch faces the challenge of maintaining its top position in regular enrollment during the new term.

Comrade Nguyen Van Kim (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Principal of the School) delivered a speech at the conference.

Comrade Nguyen Van Kim emphasized that the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University is one of the faculties that consistently has one of the highest entrance exam scores for regular programs. However, this year, with the new admission method of the Ministry of Education and Training, maintaining this achievement will pose a challenge for the Faculty's Party Committee in the new term.

At the same time, the upcoming period is also the time when VNU will implement the plan to bring the Vietnam-Japan University into operation, which will have a significant impact not only on the faculty's overall enrollment activities but also on the training work of the Japanese Studies department.

Given these challenging realities, the Deputy Secretary of the School's Party Committee instructed the Party Branch of the Faculty of Oriental Studies to identify key objectives for the coming period, along with practical and effective solutions, avoiding a scattered approach where goals are outlined but not implemented.

"In all aspects of its development, political and ideological work must always play a crucial role, leading the way in all activities. Party members in the branch must be role models, with positive and pioneering actions for other members of the department to strive for and emulate," Comrade Nguyen Van Kim instructed.

Comrade Nguyen Van Kim (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Principal of the School) presented flowers to congratulate the new Party Committee for the 2015-2017 term.

Following the guidance of the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, the Party Branch of the Faculty of Oriental Studies has outlined several key development directions for the branch in the coming period, such as:

Strengthening political and ideological work, fully and seriously participating in political activities and studies, campaigns, and studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, thereby equipping oneself with knowledge about the Party and a sense of responsibility as a Party member.

Expand the structure of vocational training within the faculty. Continue to refine the adjustment of majors and specializations. Complete the proposal to open a new major in Southeast Asian Studies, and to open master's programs in Chinese Studies, Japanese Studies, and Korean Studies.

To expand and develop the Faculty of Oriental Studies, in the upcoming term 2015-2017, the Faculty Party Committee plans to propose expanding the development of the faculty's departments towards training at an international standard, increasing the number of students enrolled in each major, and increasing the number of lecturers...

Establish key research groups and propose new, large-scale research directions such as: exploring the role of the ASEAN community, researching the South China Sea, studying the Asian community model, etc. Register research projects at all levels....

During the 2015-2017 term, the Party Branch strived to achieve the title of "Clean and Strong Party Branch" annually, with 100% of its members achieving the title of "Qualified Party Member, Successfully Completing Tasks". The goal for the entire term was to train and recruit at least 2 cadres and 4 students into the Party.

The congress elected a new Party Committee for the 2015-2017 term, consisting of three members: Comrade Luu Tuan Anh, Comrade Pham Hoang Hung, and Comrade Vu Thi Thu Huong.

Comrade Luu Tuan Anh (on the right - Secretary of the Party Branch for the new term) presents flowers to express gratitude to Comrade Le Dinh Chinh (Secretary of the Party Branch for the previous term).
