On January 31st and February 1st, 2018, in Hanoi, the State Council for Professor Titles (HĐCDGSNN) for the 2014-2019 term held its seventh meeting. At this meeting, the HĐCDGSNN reviewed and voted on the candidates who met the standards for Professor and Associate Professor titles in 2017.

According to the voting results, 85 people met the criteria for Professor, and 1,141 people met the criteria for Associate Professor. The total number of people who met the criteria for Professor and Associate Professor in 2017 was 1,226. Of these, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had 3 people who met the criteria for Professor and 16 people who met the criteria for Associate Professor. Specifically:
