Signed a memorandum of understanding with Keimyung University (South Korea)

On January 30, 2018, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Keimyung University (South Korea).

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the cooperation between the two universities. Professor Pham Quang Minh introduced the history of cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and many international universities, including Korean partners such as Busan University and Seoul Cyber ​​University. The Rector emphasized the importance of organizing exchange programs and student exchanges between the two sides, helping to bring the two cultures closer together. In the near future, academic exchange activities, program surveys, and student exchanges will be rapidly promoted.

In response, on behalf of Keimyung University, Dr. Yoo Weon-Ki (Director of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities) expressed his honor at the warm welcome and open cooperation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He stated that shared experience in many fields of social sciences and humanities, especially philosophy, would be a great advantage for long-term cooperation between the two sides. The relationship between the two universities will also contribute to the overall bilateral relationship between Vietnam and South Korea.

Keimyung University originated from Keimyung Christian College, founded in 1899. In 1978, Keimyung officially gained independent university status. As of March 2003, Keimyung had over 27,000 students and approximately 2,400 faculty and staff across 25 majors and 68 departments. Keimyung is ranked among the Top 10 most beautiful universities in South Korea, boasting famous architectural landmarks such as an art center, museum, church, massive library, and large medical center within its campus.
