The University of Social Sciences and Humanities won first prize in the 2018 Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union Singing Contest.

On November 15th, at the 2018 Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union Singing Contest, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities excellently won first prize overall.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities won first prize in the 2018 Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union Singing Contest.

With the theme "Vietnamese Soul," the University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented three performances at the competition: "Vietnam, Oh!" (Bui Quang Minh), "Lullaby of Au Lac" (Le Minh Son), and "Love Song" (Pham Duy). The University's team comprised over 100 participants from 21 trade union units, with performance support from students of the Vovinam, Cheer Rumbo, and Sol Dance clubs.

The school's performances were judged to be of outstanding quality, with meticulous investment in presentation, costumes, and the overarching theme throughout the performances. While "Lullaby of Au Lac" conveyed a message of a soul that cherishes its roots by revisiting the legendary story of "Descendants of the Dragon and the Immortal," "Love Song" overflowed with love for the country, its culture, and its tumultuous history spanning two thousand years. "Vietnam, Oh!" expressed national pride with a bright and vibrant youthful spirit.

In addition to winning first prize overall, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also won first prize in the group singing category with the song "Vietnam ơi".

The arts festival organized by the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) celebrated Vietnamese Teachers' Day, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Government's issuance of the Decree on Vietnam National Universities and 112 years of tradition. The festival featured nearly 80 performances from 25 member units and affiliated organizations of VNU. The performances were diverse in genre, ranging from singing and dancing to instrumental solos.
