The University's two main research and training centers focusing on China are the Department of Chinese Studies (Faculty of Oriental Studies) and the Center for Chinese Studies.

The Rector added that, following the visit of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in 2013, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has received 10 scholarships from the Chinese Government annually, contributing to the training of human resources for the University.

In response, Dr. Truong Ninh expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the Vietnamese side. He stated that the China Scholarship Committee (CSC) wanted to learn about the cooperation between the University and its Chinese partners, as well as to strengthen student exchange programs between the two countries. He also, on behalf of the Chinese universities, praised the academic spirit and lifestyle of Vietnamese students. For their part, the Chinese students also gave positive feedback on the faculty and the learning and living conditions at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
