Associate Professor, People's Teacher Nguyen Van Hong is a talented Sinologist, who graduated with a degree in History from Peking University (China) in 1961. He worked at the university from 1961 to 2007 in the Department of History and the Department of Oriental Studies. He was the first head of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies (1996-2001) and Director of the Center for Chinese Studies (2001-2007).
Professor, People's Teacher Ha Van Tan is one of the four great names in the Vietnamese historical science community: "Lam - Le - Tan - Vuong". He was recognized as Professor in 1980 and awarded the title of People's Teacher in 1997. Working at the University from 1957 to 1998, he was Head of the Department of Historical Methodology, Faculty of History (1982-2009). He also held the position of Director of the Institute of Archaeology (Vietnam Academy of Sciences) (1988-2008). His research fields are Archaeology, Ancient and Medieval Vietnamese History, Historical Theory, Linguistics, Buddhism, History of Thought, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, Anthropology.... He was honored to receive the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology in 2000 for his work.Following the ancient cultures.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thua Hy is an expert on Vietnamese cultural history, especially the history of Thang Long - Hanoi. He was Deputy Head of the Department of Ancient and Medieval Vietnamese History, Faculty of History from 1995-2000. His notable scientific works include:Learn Indian culture;Thang Long - Hanoi in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries;Socio-economics of Thang Long - Hanoi urban area in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries;Thang Long - Hanoi Cultural Documents: Collection of Western Documents;Traditional Vietnamese culture, a perspectiveHe was awarded the State Prize for Science and Technology in 2010 for his work.Thang Long - Hanoi 17th - 18th - 19th centuries.
Professor Phan Dai Doan is an expert in the history of resistance against foreign invaders, Vietnamese villages, Vietnamese history and cultural history. He was the Head of the Department of Ancient and Medieval Vietnamese History, Faculty of History from 1996 to 2000.
