Due to the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, as of the end of May 2021, 94% of courses at Vietnam National University, Hanoi were taught online.

On February 4, 2021, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector in charge of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) met and worked with Mr. Dang Van Binh (Technical Director of UPM Education Development Joint Stock Company), a representative of the company.

On May 7, 2020, Professor Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Hoa, General Director of UPM Education Development Joint Stock Company, announced the sponsorship contract for the University's online training system (e-learning). The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi, Chairman of Bao Ninh Investment Group, the parent company of UPM.

"I'm not sad because I always have my students by my side," shared Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam, lecturer in the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, as she hasn't been able to lecture or meet her international students for over four weeks.

Over 80 lecturers from various faculties and departments within the University of Social Sciences and Humanities successfully completed two days of training on using e-learning software to prepare for the implementation of blended learning this semester. Despite wearing masks and using silver nanoparticle hand sanitizer as recommended by experts, the classroom was filled with joy and optimism, looking forward to a semester of significant innovation in both thinking and teaching methods, based on maximizing the benefits of technology.

A training session on e-learning teaching using a platform provided free of charge by UPM (a subsidiary of Bao Ninh Group) for faculty members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities took place over two days, February 27th and 28th. More than 80 lecturers from all departments received support from UPM technicians in setting up accounts and developing course content, with plans to implement teaching in the upcoming semester.

On the sidelines of the e-learning training session supported by UMP, a Ussh reporter noted opinions supporting the widespread implementation of this teaching method throughout the school as an inevitable trend in the application of IT in teaching innovation. Teachers also shared their new experiences with the new online teaching software.

This morning (February 20, 2020), lecturers from the Faculty of Information and Library Science attended a training session on online teaching practices using the E-learning platform, which was provided free of charge to the University by Upm Education Development Joint Stock Company.
