According to the contract, the two parties agreed to promote joint activities in applying the online teaching platform to the training process of the University. UPM Company will sponsor the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the e-Learning online teaching platform for free within 2 years from February 1, 2020, in which UPM will:
Provide free online teaching platform UPM E-learning with 10,000 accounts.
Ensure system operating costs and technical support personnel.
Ensure technical infrastructure such as servers, storage systems and security.
Training on software usage and lesson design for lecturers and students of the School.
Committed to protecting user information and USSH data on the system, ensuring 24/7 operation.
This contract does not include other joint training programs and commercial exploitation of the School.
On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the enthusiastic help and support of UPM during the recent pandemic. Thanks to the support of e-learning implementation using UPM platform technology, initially, online teaching has been deployed smoothly and quite effectively on a large scale.
UPM's e-learning teaching platform has initially been evaluated by teachers and technical staff of the School as having many outstanding utilities compared to other online learning applications, in which ensuring the needs of stakeholders such as: supporting lecturers in building learning schedules, controlling students' learning progress, online lectures, testing and evaluation; supporting students in grasping the entire learning process, participating in lectures, reviewing lectures, giving feedback, doing exercises, discussing and requesting help; supporting the training department in managing the progress and quality of the School's training activities. The issue of user information security and copyright of learning materials on the system is also committed to the highest level.
To date, 90% of the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate courses are being delivered on the UPM system. The University is committed to continuing to effectively apply this platform to teaching in the future, including implementing blended learning after the Covid-19 pandemic ends.
