As an excellent student for three consecutive years at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, Hai Duong Province, Hong Van has always been confident in asserting herself in all fields. Passionate about social sciences and having a special interest in Psychology, Van boldly applied to the School of Humanities: “When I decided to enroll in the Psychology department, my parents were very worried about me because this is a new and strange major. Through researching information online, thanks to the advice of teachers as well as alumni, I believe that the Psychology department will be a fertile ground to help me explore and demonstrate my full potential.", Van shared.
Achieving a total score of 116 with the following parts: qualitative thinking: 43; quantitative thinking: 42 and Social Science part is 31, Hong Van has made a new mark on her student journey and quickly became the new valedictorian of the 2015 entrance exam of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Cherished hopes
Becoming a student of the leading school in the country in social science research and with a long tradition, Hong Van could not help but be nervous and worried: "Becoming the valedictorian of the school is a happiness, a meaningful gift in my student life. I hope to become more active, have the opportunity to interact with more group activities and more students. I also hope to be able to acquire knowledge not only about my major but also about general understanding.
On the first day of school, meeting some teachers and students, Van couldn't help but be happy: "Listening to the teachers and seniors enthusiastically share and encourage me about the learning environment, I feel very lucky to become a new student of Humanities. I have been recharged with a great source of energy for myself. I will definitely conquer the challenges that the school sets out."
