As a top student for three consecutive years at Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted in Hai Duong province, Hong Van has always confidently asserted herself in all fields. Passionate about social sciences and with a particular fondness for psychology, Van boldly applied for admission to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities:When I decided to enroll in the Psychology department, my parents were very worried because it was a new and unfamiliar field of study. After researching online, receiving advice from professors and alumni, I became confident that the Psychology department would be fertile ground for me to explore and fully express my abilities."Van shared.

With a total score of 116, including qualitative reasoning: 43; quantitative reasoning: 42; and social sciences: 31, Hong Van has made a new mark on her student journey and quickly become the top-scoring student in the 2015 entrance exam at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Becoming a student at a leading university in the country for social science research and with a long-standing tradition, Hong Van couldn't help but feel nervous and anxious:Becoming the top student of the university is a great joy and a meaningful gift in my journey as a student. I hope to become more active, have more opportunities to participate in group activities and interact with more students. I also hope to acquire knowledge not only in my field but also in general knowledge.”

On her first day of school, Vân was overjoyed to meet some of the teachers and senior students:"Having heard the enthusiastic sharing and encouragement from the teachers and senior students about the learning environment, I feel very fortunate to be a new student at the Faculty of Humanities. I have been recharged with great energy. I am sure I will conquer the challenges that the university has set for me."
