Humanities students eager to return to school

The first meeting of the year is held to help classes summarize their studies and activities in the previous school year, thereby drawing experience for the next school year. At the same time, the class executive committee is reorganized and the students with the best academic achievements are nominated to receive certificates of merit from the Principal.

For students of class 57 and 58, this is a familiar job. But for students of class 59, this is the first time. Not only that, after the first summer vacation of university and a month of military training in Hoa Lac, many students noticed changes in themselves and cherished plans for the future.

Sharing with USSH reporters, Ho Tuong Linh (K59 Psychology) realized the changes in herself: “The first summer vacation of college was also the longest time away from home because I had to study military in Hoa Lac. I thought more, felt I had to be more independent, not like when I was a student anymore.

After returning from Hoa Lac, I had a week off. I stayed with my friends for a month to study military but now I still want to see them. I hope this school year will have changes, I will have more energy to study better."

Like Tuong Linh, Cao Quoc Thai (K59 Psychology CLC) still hasn't forgotten the 1 month in Hoa Lac that gave him new experiences. "After a month in Hoa Lac, experiencing many things, I understood my classmates better, looked at them with different eyes and realized that they had matured compared to the first time we met.

After being away from Hanoi for a month, I missed life in Hanoi. After only a month, I was surprised to see that the scenery had changed so much. This year, the school celebrates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Letters and has many activities. I personally support and expect interesting things from those activities," Thai excitedly expressed.

Meanwhile, Ngo Thi Thanh Hien (K59 Public Relations major) does not want to take a summer vacation but wants to stay in Hanoi more. Hien shared: “I really want to go to Hanoi because staying at home feels a bit useless. During the summer vacation in high school, I just wanted to go back to my hometown, but when I go to university, I feel that I should not waste my summer vacation. I want to work to gain more knowledge and experience. Next year, first of all, I hope to achieve better academic results, then I want to participate in many extracurricular activities and learn more foreign languages, especially Korean because I really like this language.”

After 2 months away from school, Tuong Linh, Quoc Thai, and Thanh Hien all really like the newly opened canteen in the BC building complex. Thanh Hien said: "When we left, the canteen was still under construction. After returning, I was surprised by how beautiful and impressive it was." Tuong Linh also loves taking photos: "Seeing the newly opened canteen surprised me so I actively took photos to show off the school's new canteen. I hope this will be a familiar place for me in the new school year."
