Do Ngoc Cuong, 20 years old, is currently a third-year student majoring in Political Science, Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
He is also a prominent member of the Youth Union's External Relations Committee - USSH Student Association and serves as an advisor to the Executive Board of the PEM Presentation and MC Club. This is a Presentation and MC Club under the VNU-USSH Student Association.
With his attractive appearance and warm, deep voice, Ngoc Cuong had the opportunity to start his singing career at a young age, laying the foundation for his development and pursuit of his dreams.
Contrary to many people's expectations of a handsome young man with eloquent speech and a warm, deep voice, when faced with a crucial life choice, he chose to major in Political Science. Few would have imagined that this young man would have such a passion for a difficult and challenging field.
Speaking to a reporter from the Vietnam Student section of Tien Phong newspaper, Ngoc Cuong said: “I chose Political Science at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities because of its rich history. It is also the ‘cradle’ of many famous politicians who have studied there.”
This was the young student's first time on stage as a program host.
During his time at school, through more exposure and learning opportunities, he began to orient himself towards becoming a news and current affairs program editor. This job not only allowed him to develop his vocal skills but also closely aligned with his field of study.
Ngoc Cuong always works and studies diligently to improve every day.
When asked about the role model he has always admired in his profession, Ngoc Cuong shared: "The person who has guided me from the very beginning of my career until now, and who is also my mentor, is Mr. Ho Ngoc Tan - former Chairman of the PEM Club."
Furthermore, I also aspire to become a talented person like Mr. Le Quang Minh - General Director of the National Assembly Television. But first and foremost, I always remind myself to constantly strive to become a better version of myself.”
The third-year student was also very active in student union and association activities.
Ngoc Cuong will certainly never forget March 26, 2023, the 92nd anniversary celebration of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at his school. It was the first time his teachers entrusted him with the role of MC. After this important event, he gained even more confidence and composure, ready for new breakthroughs in the future.
Besides hosting events, Ngoc Cuong is also a collaborator at Hanoi Radio and Television Station. This third-year student is also very active in student union activities. In addition, he diligently takes on extra MC jobs to gain experience and increase his income.
He was formerly the host of the reality show "Recycling Cafe" on Hanoi Radio and Television; a guest interviewee on the program "Cultural Perspective" on VTV1 and VTV3; and a guest interviewee on the program "The Gem of Etiquette" on Nhan Dan TV.
"Every time I get to hold a microphone and stand under the spotlight, it's an unforgettable moment. The most emotional one is probably the Vietnamese Public Speaking Competition for international students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training."

"Throughout the 10 hours of hosting the show live on air, I was quite stressed and nervous. But with effort and dedication, I successfully completed the program that day," Ngoc Cuong recalled.
As a third-year student with an ever-increasing workload and academic assignments, while also advising on club activities, he continues to learn and improve his skills. Regardless of the role, Ngoc Cuong is always doing his best to fulfill his abilities.
"I'm quite a perfectionist when it comes to the goals I set for myself. So I always plan and organize my time for activities and rest in the most scientific and meticulous way to avoid affecting the results of my activities and my health," he shared.
For Cuong, he has always wanted to share his personal experiences, passion, and dedication with students so that they can develop further and step out of their comfort zones.
Sharing his personal values ​​and aspirations for community contribution, Cuong stated: “Like PEM’s slogan, ‘Courage makes the difference,’ I want to help younger generations have the opportunity to learn, experience, and pursue their passions. At the same time, I want them to create their own unique identity.”
Do Ngoc Cuong and his seniors at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities guided and mentored him on his journey to achieve his dreams.
Fortunately, with the support of his family and the guidance of mentors on his journey to pursue his passion for broadcasting, Ngoc Cuong has gradually improved himself and matured. The 20-year-old student continues to hone his social knowledge with many new perspectives, from life to his major in Politics.
"During my journey to conquer the stage, I've faced many negative comments, but I've never considered giving up. Instead of focusing on them, I choose to listen to constructive feedback and continue to persevere, honing my skills to become better and better," Cương expressed his positive mindset.
Every experience is a new lesson. Certainly, in the not-too-distant future, we will witness even more successes from Do Ngoc Cuong in his role as a news editor at Vietnam Television.
