After many exciting and tense rounds of competition, the Top 16 contestants of USSH GRALENT 2023, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, have finally been revealed. In the latest activity of the "Talent and Beauty of Humanities" contest, the Top 16, along with the organizing committee, participated in a memorable volunteer trip to the Vietnam Friendship Village. Driven by genuine compassion and a desire to bring a complete and warm Tet (Lunar New Year) to the children, this activity was not only an opportunity for the Top 16 to share love with the children at the Center, but also a chance for them to develop, contribute, and grow. A vibrant cultural gala also took place, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere among the children, welcoming the Year of the Dragon 2024.
For many contestants, this was their first time participating in volunteer activities. Along the way, feelings of nervousness and anxiety were inevitable. Contestant Ha Thu shared, "This is my first time participating in activities at the Village. Although the preparations were thorough, I was still quite worried, afraid that there might be mistakes in the performance." However, that feeling quickly disappeared when she saw the warm and enthusiastic welcome from the children and veterans at the Village.

To kick off the series of activities, the contestants visited veterans, wishing them good health and presenting them with small gifts. Hai Dang said: “Through greetings and conversations with the veterans here, I appreciate even more what we have today, and I am also extremely grateful to the previous generations who fought wholeheartedly for the cause of national liberation.”

Next up was the Tet-themed craft activity. Here, contestants and children worked together to create greeting cards, calendars, wire flowers, and other items, as well as coloring pictures filled with the festive spirit of Tet.

The contestants and the children returned to the village to participate in the "Craftsmanship for Tet" activity.
In addition, we must mention the lively and joyful cultural exchange gala. The Top 16 contestants of "Talent and Beauty of Humanities" enthusiastically performed New Year's songs with a vibrant yet warm atmosphere... At the same time, the children from the Village also performed many singing and dancing acts, creating a lovely and harmonious combination.

The "Spring of Love" journey of USSH GRALENT 2023, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has ended, but each participant surely still feels the emotion, understanding, and sharing with those less fortunate who have suffered the consequences of war. Through this trip, the organizers and participants not only hoped to bring a complete and warm Tet holiday to the children but also to spread humanitarian values and compassion to the community.
