To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Government's Decree on the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (December 10, 1993 – December 10, 2023), the Youth Union and Student Association of Vietnam National University, Hanoi organized the Colorful Camp 2023 on December 10, 2023, in Hoa Lac, with the theme "Proud of Vietnamese Identity," in which the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities brought its own unique identity to the camp.
The 2023 Colorful Camp offered many engaging cultural experiences, aiming to strengthen solidarity and camaraderie among union members and students. This is the first year that the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has organized the camp from a cultural perspective, honoring the beauty of Vietnamese people, landscapes, and culinary traditions with the theme "Proud of Vietnamese Identity," thereby fostering and promoting patriotism – a precious tradition of our nation.
This year's camp attracted 11 units under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, along with 1,500 union members and students who registered to participate in the experiential activities at the booths. With the theme "Proud of Vietnamese Identity," the participating units created innovative designs based on national cultural motifs and patterns, incorporating harmonious styles, layouts, and interior decorations that reflected the unique cultural identity of each locality.
At the booths, many units arranged cultural experience activities to give visitors at the Festival the opportunity to learn about the beauty of each region, such as: the pao throwing game (at the booth of the University of Law), Northwest bamboo dance (at the booth of the University of Technology), the traditional game of O An Quan (at the booth of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences), singing Quan Ho folk songs from Bac Ninh (at the booth of the booth of the University of Natural Sciences), ... along with local culinary dishes introduced to visitors.

Comrade Hua Thanh Hoa - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, stated: "In the context of deep integration as it is today, creating a platform for Youth Union members and students to learn about national culture is essential. Because culture is the key differentiating factor, helping students confidently integrate without being assimilated, thereby strongly spreading their identity to friends around the world."
Based on criteria such as aesthetics, creativity, identity, vibrancy, and impressive presentation, the booth of the Youth Union - Student Association of the University of Technology excellently won First Prize and the Most Popular Award at the 2023 Colorful Camp. In addition, the judging panel also selected one Second Prize (Youth Union - Student Association of the University of Economics), two Third Prizes (Youth Union of the University of Education and Youth Union of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences), and seven Consolation Prizes for participating units.
