Students of the 2020-X cohort participate in the "Week of Political Activities and Integration".

On October 24, 2020, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, inaugurated the "Political Activities and Integration Week" (Integration Week) for students of the QH-2020-X cohort. There were 2187 new students from 31 majors and training programs. The first day saw the participation of 500 students from the following majors: Journalism, High-Quality Journalism Program TT23, International Studies, Public Relations, Psychology, and Classical Chinese Studies.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) introduced the university to students with an overview of its history, mission and vision, faculties and departments, majors and training programs, student organizations, student counseling and support services, clubs and extracurricular activities for students.

The Vice Rector also shared that the QH-2020.X cohort is the first group of students to study an innovative training program at the university. The new training program balances theoretical and applied courses to ensure both fundamental knowledge and a modern, integrated approach.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan introduced information about the university.

Graduates from the Faculty of Humanities can take on job positions in many different industries and fields. In fact, some former students have become directors and general managers of large companies and corporations in Vietnam. Professor Hoang Anh Tuan advised new students to cultivate the four essential elements of a worker in the era of Industry 4.0: knowledge, attitude, skills, and positive habits. He hoped that the students would succeed in their future careers, regardless of their professional field or specialization.

After listening to the Vice Rector's presentation, the new students will be briefed on the Youth Union and Student Association; regulations and rules for studying and training; student registration on the VNU portal; and an introduction to the reproductive health care program for students.

During orientation week, new students also have the opportunity to meet, get acquainted, chat, and share their new experiences in their shared home, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This is also an opportunity for two-way dialogue between teachers and new students in a joyful and harmonious atmosphere. Besides lectures, students also get to interact with each other, participate in team-building activities to foster camaraderie, and build confidence in expressing their thoughts, aspirations, or any questions they may have about the University.

The "Political Activities and Integration Week for Students of the QH-2020.X Cohort" will continue on October 25th, 31st, and November 1st and 8th, 2020 at the Auditorium on the 8th floor of Building E. Following this, students will participate in a health check-up on October 24th, 25th, 31st, and November 1st, 2020 at the VNU Multi-specialty Clinic, 182 Luong The Vinh Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.
