The official VNU-USSH commencement ceremony in 2023: A Memorable Graduation

Attending the commencement ceremony in 2023 was Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and teachers in the School's Board of Directors; representatives of leaders of the Departments of Training, Politics, and Student Research; Leaders of faculties/institutes/subjects in the university. In particular, the ceremony welcomed 1,558 new bachelors alongside their families, relatives, and friends.

In the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University warmly congratulated all students who graduated and received Bachelor's degrees, marking a journey of education with many difficulties and challenges but also very exciting and memorable. Upon receiving a university degree today, they had the right to be proud - proud that their study efforts had been well compensated. Overcoming all the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, changes in training regulations, or difficulties in life, they had successfully reached their destination. It was not only a milestone, marking the journey of students to cultivate the profession that they are passionate about and love, moreover, they had obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - a leading university in training and research in the field of social sciences and humanities of the whole country, to confidently step into the roads ahead.
  At the ceremony, the University respectfully honored and presented certificates to 20 excellent valedictorians and 58 excellent students of training disciplines. The newly honored bachelors are not only students with excellent academic results, actively participating in scientific research, but also dynamic, creative, and dedicated leaders and union officials with union movements, and volunteer activities to serve the community.
The atmosphere was filled with emotion when accompanying the valedictorians on the brilliant stage were parents and teachers. A four-year adventure, along with the outstanding efforts of individuals, they have received the care and nurturing of their parents, teachers, and today's achievements were made a reality by the unwavering support of their companions. Therefore, in the moment of honoring the valedictorians today, the university gave a bouquet of fresh flowers to thank the parents for their companionship, above all, for their trust for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Many parents shared: “Four years ago, when our children applied for university, we researched and chose the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, trusting that the university will make the best out of our children's abilities and interests.
Our children are fortunate to study in a humane, creative, and traditional learning environment, they are not only strong in their expertise, but also mature in thinking, lifestyle, and moral qualities, all to prepare for their confidence when stepping out into life."           The new valedictorian Hoang Tung Duong and also the valedictorian in philosophy with a GPA of 3.84/4.0 shared: “During the four-year journey, we were lucky to study in a very professional and academic environment, while being immersed in a dynamic and youthful atmosphere with many exciting and practical activities organized by the University.
A bachelor's degree is a very important milestone for us because it is the fruit borne out of our hard work, the care of our parents, the dedication of our teachers, and the attention and companionship of the University. We are proud that we have been and will always be an important part of this University.”
Sharing the same feeling, Nguyen Ha Chau Giang - Excellent valedictorian in Public Relations expressed: "... When we graduate, wherever we go, we will always be proud to be students of the University of Social Science and Humanities.”

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong – Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities said: With nearly 80 years of history, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the cradle that nurtures many generations of many promising students. The proud tradition of the University is fostered by generations of alumni who have been making contributions in the fields of politics, economy, culture, society... for this country. Successful alumni are not only pride but also a testament to affirming the prestige and reputation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the community and society.
 "Tomorrow, nearly 1,600 new graduates who receive their diplomas today will spread their wings to the vast horizons, I wish for you all to continue to be "messengers" spreading good values and the spirit of " Humanities” to the society and the community.
We wish you all to become more mature, more successful, happier and become good citizens, towards a bright future for yourself and this country” – Assoc. Prof.Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong pressed.
