The training course “Mental Health in Schools” taught by experts in the field of American School Psychology will be held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The training course “Mental Health in Schools” taught by experts in the field of American School Psychology will be held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.This program is within the framework of cooperation between Vietnamese and American universities in the Association for the Development of School Psychology in Vietnam (CASP-V).

Objectives of the Training Course

  • Provide necessary practical skills for Psychology lecturers, practicing psychologists, and teachers working in the field of education;
  • Create a pool of resource faculty who can teach and train School Psychology in future courses.

Contents of the Training Course

  • Training skills to identify some mental health problems of students such as school violence, online game addiction, depression, anxiety, and physical symptoms;
  • Training in coping skills for school violence, online game addiction, depression, anxiety, and physical symptoms;
  • Provide methods and training in skills to conduct systematic school psychological prevention work for the entire class and the entire school.
At the end of the course, students will have the basic knowledge and practical skills of a school psychologist in the field of mental health. After the course, each student will receive a certificate from Chapman University (USA) and a representative of the Association for the Development of School Psychology in Vietnam certifying that they have participated in the course "School Mental Health."See program details

Requirements for students

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work or other related field.
  • Have at least one year of experience working with students ranging in age from kindergarten to grade 12
  • Students must attend the entire course and complete assignments/exams to receive a certificate.
Study location: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.Time: from 8:30 to 17:00 on August 2, 3, 4, 2010
