Currently, due to work requirements, most business leaders need professional secretaries to support their administrative tasks. However, for various reasons, most secretaries, despite having good professional skills and foreign language proficiency, and being dedicated to their work, lack basic training in secretarial skills and procedures. This has affected work efficiency and quality.
Currently, due to work requirements, most business leaders need professional secretaries to support their administrative tasks. However, for various reasons, most secretaries, despite having good professional skills and foreign language proficiency, and being dedicated to their work, lack basic training in secretarial skills and procedures. This has affected work efficiency and quality.To enhance the professional skills of corporate secretaries, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with RIMA Education Group, Malaysia, is offering a one-week certification course in "Professional Secretarial Skills" (scheduled from November 15th to November 20th, 2010).1. Eligibility Criteria: Private secretaries for the CEO, Director, and Board of Directors of businesses2. Program ContentThis course includes the following topics: + The responsibilities and role of a secretary + The necessary skills and qualities of a secretary + Psychology and leadership/management style + Skills in gathering, processing, and providing information + Skills in advising and persuading others + Skills in drafting documents and correspondence + Skills in managing documents and archiving files + Skills in organizing work and events + Communication skills + Skills in building image and style3. FacultyLecturers from RIMA Group, Malaysia, and professors and doctors who are lecturers at the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi University.4. Training methods:- Learn by discussing specific situations, then generalizing them into theory, or vice versa. - Combine presentations and illustrative videos.5. Evaluating and recognizing learning outcomes:- Students will be assessed through practical skills and tests. - Students who achieve the required learning outcomes will be awarded a Certificate from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and from RIMA Education Group – a leading secretarial training institution in Malaysia.6.
