With funding from the Ford Foundation, the Film Project (Faculty of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) has offered five short-term training courses in screenwriting and film criticism from 2005 to the present. These courses are completely free (in terms of tuition and learning materials).Students from the 5th cohort of the Project recently collaborated on the short film "Trapped" under the artistic direction of director Le Thanh Son of "Dragon Trap," and are currently in the process of writing their dissertations and preparing proposals to apply for scholarships from the Project.
From July 1st, 2010 to October 7th, 2010, the Project will conduct recruitment for its 6th cohort.

Study timeEntrance exam in October 2010, full-time in-person classes from November 2010 to May 2011, thesis writing at home and graduation from June 2011 to September 2011. After 10 months, graduates receive a certificate and resume to apply for jobs in the film, television, and media fields. Attendance scholarship of $300 USD/year/student. Scholarships for short film/translation/final research up to $2000 USD/scholarship. Support and advice provided when students apply for scholarships to study abroad.

LecturerThe instructors include: Director, People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh, Director Pham Nhue Giang, Director/Screenwriter Phan Dang Di, Screenwriter Doan Minh Tuan, Dr. Dean Wilson, and Dr. Pham Xuan Thach. Each course features guest lecturers who are leading professors, producers, and screenwriters from Hollywood, such as Vincent Ngo (Hollywood screenwriter, Hancock screenwriter), Professor Alan Baker (USC - University of Southern California), Park Kwangsu (Seoul National University of the Arts), Charlie Nguyen (Director of The Heroic Bloodline, To Be Continued), Victor Vu (Crossroads of Destiny)... Guest lecturers are frequently present, including famous and experienced figures in the domestic film and media industry.
