With funding from the Ford Foundation, the Film Project (Faculty of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) has opened five short-term training courses on screenwriting and film criticism theory since 2005. This is a completely free course (in terms of tuition and learning materials).
With funding from the Ford Foundation, the Film Project (Faculty of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) has opened five short-term training courses on screenwriting and film criticism theory since 2005. This is a completely free course (in terms of tuition and learning materials).Students of the 5th course of the Project have just produced a short film called Trapped under the artistic direction of director Bay Rong - Le Thanh Son, and are currently in the process of writing their thesis and preparing to propose a scholarship for the Project.From July 1, 2010 to October 7, 2010, the Project will conduct enrollment for the 6th course. Object: all university and college graduates nationwide.Specialized: Screenwriting and Film CriticismStudy time: October 2010 entrance exam, November 2010-May 2011 full-time study in class, June 2011-September 2011: write thesis at home and graduate. After 10 months, graduates have certificates and profiles to apply for jobs in the film-television-media industry. Diligence scholarship of 300 USD/year/student. Scholarship for short film making/translation/final research with the highest level of 2000 USD/student. Support and advice when students apply for scholarships to study abroad.Study location and facilities: 4th floor, Building I, University of Social Sciences and Humanities; modern audio-visual equipment: book and film library, computers, modern cinema room with DVD player, projector, surround sound speakers...Lecturer: Director, People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh, Director Pham Nhue Giang, Director/Screenwriter Phan Dang Di, Screenwriter Doan Minh Tuan, Dr. Dean Wilson, Dr. Pham Xuan Thach. Each course has guest lecturers who are Hollywood's top talented professors, producers, and screenwriters such as Vincent Ngo (Hollywood Screenwriter, Hancock Screenwriter), Prof. Alan Baker (USC - University of Southern California), Park Kwangsu (Seoul National University of Arts), Charlie Nguyen (Director of Heroic Blood, Let's Think Tomorrow), Victor Vu (Fateful Crossroads)...
