3.2. Conclusion
- Russia has a clear strategy and ambition in this region, as evidenced by its eastward-looking policy and the goals it has set in its foreign policy;
- Russia's policies towards the Asia-Pacific region, including ASEAN, have not yielded the expected results in their implementation;
- Russia's foreign policy towards ASEAN has primarily focused on the political sphere, while economic development has been slow.
- Russia's foreign policy towards ASEAN is still heavily influenced by external factors, particularly the United States and China;
- In response to Russia's foreign policy moves towards the Asia-Pacific region in general and ASEAN in particular, ASEAN has not yet shown genuine enthusiasm;
- Russia views Vietnam as a bridge in the relationship between Russia and ASEAN because Vietnam has both a long-standing traditional relationship with Russia and is one of the most active and influential members of ASEAN.

- There are great achievements in the field of political cooperation, whereas the field of economic cooperations still has some limitations.
- Russia's policy in this region suffers a lot of pressure from the United States and China.
- ASEAN seems to be not creative in cooperation with Russia.
- Vietnam is considered a key factor in the cooperation between Russia and ASEAN
