- Clarify effective models, initiatives, and methods of humanitarian activities that contribute to meeting people's essential needs caused by international armed conflicts, epidemic support, poverty, and natural disasters.

- Presenting the political impacts of international humanitarian activities to further strengthen humanitarian values, coordination between humanitarian and human rights, and enhance national responsibility in implementing humanitarian benefits for people in humanitarian crisis areas.

- Clarify the need for enhanced coordination between the International Committee of the Red Cross and humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations, in responding to disasters.

- Examines the debates concerning the ICRC's international humanitarian work in the developing world. International humanitarian work is highly practical, but practice cannot be separated from basic theories.

11.Ability to apply in practice:

The humanitarian activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross play a crucial role in assisting and supporting people in humanitarian crises around the world. Currently, this network of humanitarian activities has expanded to 80 countries worldwide. In 2015, the International Committee of the Red Cross opened a representative office in Vietnam. Therefore, understanding the humanitarian activities of the Red Cross Committee is essential to raise awareness of international humanitarian work in Vietnam. Simultaneously, it aims to promote the Committee's humanitarian work in Vietnam in helping Vietnamese people overcome the consequences of war and natural disasters.

12. Further research directions:

Based on this dissertation, the doctoral candidate will further develop research on international humanitarian law and the humanitarian activities of the International Red Cross Committee in Vietnam.

The thesis aims at:

- Clarifying models, incentives and activities related to humanitarian activities which aim at meeting essential demands of people after international armed conflicts, pandemics and natural disasters.

- Drawing out political impacts of international humanitarian activities in order to enhance humanitarian values, strengthen the collaboration between humanitarian and human rights and heighten national responsibilities in enforcing humanitarian benefits for people in humanitarian crisis areas

- Pointing out the strengthening collaboration between the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and humanitarian organizations, the United Nations in coping with disasters.

- Considering arguments related to international humanitarian activities of the ICRC in a developing world. International humanitarian activities contains highly realistic values; however, reality could not be isolated from basic theories.

11. Practical applicability

Humanitarian activities of the ICRC have significantly contributed to the process of supporting people in humanitarian crises in the world. Currently, the network of this humanitarian activities has been spread to 80 countries in the world. In 2015, the ICRC opened its representative office in Vietnam. Therefore, studying humanitarian activities of the ICRC is necessary in order to enhance awareness on international humanitarian activities in Vietnam. Moreover, strengthening humanitarian activities of the ICRC in Vietnam will help Vietnamese people overcome the consequences of wars and disasters.

12. Further research directions:

Based on the doctoral thesis, the author will continue to develop the research on International Humanitarian Law and humanitarian activities of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Vietnam.
