- This systematically presents the Party's leadership over the international movement against the US imperialist aggression in Vietnam, contributing to a deeper understanding of an aspect of the resistance war against the US and for national salvation.
- Initially, this paper presents observations, assessments, results, limitations, and key lessons learned from the Party's leadership in the international movement against the US imperialist aggression in Vietnam from 1954 to 1975.
- This document provides a reference for research on diplomatic struggle and international mobilization during the resistance war against the US, saving the nation. It also provides historical data as a scientific basis for formulating policies and strategies for international mobilization by the Vietnamese Party and State today.
11. Practical applications:
- The experiences of the Party in leading the international movement during the years 1954-1975 are of great significance in the cause of national defense today, especially the struggle to protect maritime sovereignty and islands. The international mobilization to gain the support of countries, organizations, and forces in the region and around the world to counter expansionist forces, protect peace, and ensure international maritime and air safety in the South China Sea has become increasingly urgent in the current situation.
- This dissertation can be used as a reference for research on diplomatic struggle and international mobilization in the resistance war against the US, for national liberation.

10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
This thesis has presented scientifically the leadership role of the Vietnam Communist Party in the international movement to fight the US imperialist aggression in Vietnam. Besides that, the aim of the thesis is the contribution to deepen another aspect of the anti-US war of Vietnam.
About the content, the thesis has initially some proposed comments, evaluations, results, the limitations, and experiences during the leading process of Vietnam Communist Party in the international campaign to resist US imperialist aggression since 1954 to 1975.
Furthermore, the thesis has provided references, useful documents for researchers in the fields about diplomacy and international movement during the anti-US war of Vietnam from 1954 to 1975. On another hand, the thesis has provided scientific historical data, as science basic lessons, for the planning and carrying out measures in the international campaigns of our Party and Vietnam today.
11. Practical applicability:
- The experience lessons, which come from the international movement directed by the Vietnam Communist Party during 1954-1975, had played a significant role in the stage of defending Vietnam nowadays, especially for the struggle to protect sea border of Vietnam. Especially based on contemporary context, the most urgent mission of the Party to fight expansionist powers and maintain the peace, freedom of maritime, and aviation over the East Sea is creating the international movements held by the Party to have the agreements and support from various countries, international organizations, and forces from the regions to the world.
- This thesis can be used as a reference document for many researchers in the fields of diplomatic struggles and international movement during the war against US.
12. Future research directions:
The future research will be concentrated on the leadership of the Vietnam Communist Party in solving the East Sea dispute under the complicated context of the region and the world recent time.
