Theoretically, based on a historical overview of the research problem, the thesis poses the following questions:The Four Books, The Five ClassicsIn relation to the fundamental issues in the reformed education program for the Chinese-language imperial examination system, this contributes to clarifying several aspects, such as:
- Research onThe Four Books,The Five ClassicsThis contributes to clarifying the position and role of Chinese language education and education using Chinese as the medium of instruction within the overall educational program, in terms of both learning and examination methods.
- Research onThe Four Books,The Five ClassicsThis contributes to clarifying some of the basic characteristics and features of the reformed examination system, especially the transitional and transformative nature of this educational program.
