Theoretically, based on a historical overview of the research problem, the thesis poses the following questions:The Four Books, The Five ClassicsIn relation to the fundamental issues in the reformed education program for the Chinese-language imperial examination system, this contributes to clarifying several aspects, such as:

- Research onThe Four Books,The Five ClassicsThis contributes to clarifying the position and role of Chinese language education and education using Chinese as the medium of instruction within the overall educational program, in terms of both learning and examination methods.

- Research onThe Four Books,The Five ClassicsThis contributes to clarifying some of the basic characteristics and features of the reformed examination system, especially the transitional and transformative nature of this educational program.

- Research onThe Four Books,The Five ClassicsIt also contributes to shedding light on the cultural transition in Vietnam during the first two decades of the 20th century.

In practical terms, this thesis initially suggests ideas for educational reform in the current educational situation in our country, including aspects of learning methods as well as examination methods at different educational levels.

For the field of Sino-Vietnamese studies (both in terms of training and research), this dissertation contributes to suggesting ways to adjust the methods of compiling textbooks, lectures, and teaching methods for subjects on Confucian classics, in order to meet the practical situation of Sino-Vietnamese studies training programs in Vietnam during the period of international integration.
