The thesis is considered to have scientific, practical and urgent value, outlining the main features of the process of development of the Vietnam - China educational exchange and cooperation relationship from 1950 to present (2018). The thesis has partly explained the subjective and objective factors, internal and external, affecting the educational relationship between the two countries and also pointed out the importance of educational relations to the relationship between the two countries in general. The results of the thesis contribute to an important part in better understanding the development process in the Vietnam - China relationship.
