1.1. Research purpose

Researching the theory and reality of family value orientation, finding out the factors affecting the family value orientation of young people. Thereby, making recommendations to support young people to have a reasonable family value orientation, bringing a happy life for themselves and their families.

The research object of the thesis is family values ​​and family value orientation of young people.

3. Main results and conclusions

3.1. Main results

The thesis is a scientific work of in-depth, systematic and relatively comprehensive research on family value orientation of young people. The research results have the following new points:

3.1.1. In theory

Research on family value orientation of youth provides more scientific and practical basis for the fields of family psychology, educational psychology and research on value orientation for youth. The thesis has systematized documents on family value orientation of youth, built the concepts of orientation, family values, family value orientation of youth. The thesis makes recommendations to contribute to reasonable family value orientation for youth in the current context.

3.1.2. In practice

The thesis points out the current status of family value orientation of young people, clarifies the family values ​​that young people aim for and choose. Practical research shows that the content of family values ​​related to parent-child relationships and family responsibilities chosen by young people tends to prioritize traditional values; the content of marriage, childbearing - child rearing and gender roles in the family lean towards modern values. In addition, young men tend to preserve traditional family values ​​more than young women.

3.2. Conclusion

The thesis has outlined the research trends in the world on family value orientation. Based on the inheritance and systematization of theoretical issues from domestic and foreign research works, the thesis has clarified the concepts: family values, family value orientation, family value orientation of youth (chapters 1 and 2).

Analyze and evaluate the current status of family value orientation of young people, some factors affecting family value orientation of young people as well as pointing out the changing trend in family value orientation of young people (chapters 3 and 4).

From the research results, the author has proposed some ideas for young people to have a reasonable orientation of family values, inherit and promote good traditional family values, selectively accept modern family values; fight to eliminate backward, outdated, and inappropriate values.

3.1.1. About the theories of the thesis

Youth-oriented family value research provides additional scientific and practical foundations for the field of family psychology, educational psychology and value-oriented research for young people. The thesis has system of documents on youth's family-oriented values, constructing concepts of orientation, family value, family value orientation of youth. The thesis proposes recommendations that contribute to orienting reasonable family values ​​for young people in the current context.

3.1.2. Practical results of the thesis

The thesis shows the current situation of youth's family value orientation, clarifying the family values ​​that young people target and choose. Practical research shows that family values ​​related to parent-child relationship and family responsibilities selected by young people tend to favor traditional values; content of marriage, childbirth - rearing children and gender role in the family in favor of modern values. In addition, young men tend to preserve traditional family values ​​over young women.

3.2.Conclusions

- The thesis summarizes the research trends in the world on family value orientation. On the basis of inheriting and systematizing theoretical issues from domestic and foreign research works, the thesis has clarified the concepts: family value, family value orientation, family value orientation of youths (chapter 1 and chapter 2).

- Analyzing and assessing the status of youth's family-oriented orientation, a number of factors affecting youth's family value orientation as well as showing the trend of change in youth's family value orientation (chapter 3 and chapter 4).

- From the research results, the author has proposed a number of suggestions for young people to have reasonable family values, inherit and promote good traditional family values, selectively receive modern family values; fight to eliminate obsolete, outdated and inappropriate values.
