10. Summary of thesis results:The belief in worshipping sacred trees is a folk belief, a traditional cultural feature of the Vietnamese people since ancient times, and it still exists in modern life. The author focused on studying three cases of tree worship in Hanoi: inner city (Ba Dinh district and Thanh Xuan district) and suburbs (Thanh Oai district). The results showed that the belief in worshipping sacred trees comes from the belief and gratitude for heroic examples, soldiers who sacrificed in the war, or maybe because the concept of animism has been deeply ingrained in the minds of the Vietnamese people. The author also pointed out the common and unique points of the belief in worshipping sacred trees in the research sites. At the same time, the study of the belief in worshipping sacred trees in Hanoi has revealed interesting points about the spiritual life of the people here, that is: the belief in worshipping sacred trees has become a part of the sacred space of Hanoi (although not as noticeable as other orthodox beliefs and religions); This belief becomes a spiritual support for people when facing the pressures of urban living; the belief in worshipping sacred trees is also a typical example of rural consciousness, the peasant element still has a profound influence on the cultural life of Hanoi people. These things contribute to creating a special appearance of Hanoi compared to other major cities in Asia and the world.

10. Summary of the findings of the thesis:The belief in worshiping sacred trees is a form of folk belief and a traditional cultural practice of the Vietnamese people since ancient times, which continues to exist in modern life. The author focuses on three cases of tree worship in Hanoi: in the inner city (Ba Dinh District and Thanh Xuan District) and the suburbs (Thanh Oai District). The results reveal that the belief in tree worship stems from faith and gratitude sacred heroic figures, soldiers who sacrificed their lives in wars, or the deeply rooted animistic worldview in the Vietnamese mindset. The author also highlights commonalities and differences in the practice of sacred tree worship across the studied locations. Moreover, the research on this belief in Hanoi uncovers intriguing aspects of the spiritual life of its residents, such as: sacred tree worship has become a part of Hanoi's sacred space (though it has not received as much attention as mainstream religions and beliefs); this belief serves as a spiritual anchor for residents facing the pressures of urban living; and it also reflects rural consciousness and agrarian influences that remain deeply embedded in Hanoi's cultural life. These factors collectively contribute to a distinctive identity for Hanoi compared to other major cities in Asia and around the world.
