Hoai Duc is located in an ancient land with a history of thousands of years, one of the main living areas of Van Lang people during the founding of the country. Therefore, Hoai Duc has a diverse and rich cultural heritage system. In the context of urban development serving the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country today, the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values is an important content in the development orientation of the district for building and developing culture, improving the spiritual life of the people, and is an important basis for exploiting tourism development, promoting socio-economic development in the locality. However, not all cultural heritages of Hoai Duc district receive proper attention and preservation, but there are still cases where cultural heritages are violated, degraded or even forgotten by the community. In addition, the problem of urban-rural planning and management of Hanoi in general and suburban areas including Hoai Duc district still has shortcomings, causing consequences and challenges to the survival of cultural heritage in Hoai Duc district. The thesis has analyzed and evaluated the current situation, on that basis, proposed solutions to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage in Hoai Duc district in the context of current urban development.
