10. Summary of project results:
The project presented an overview of global research on social anxiety disorder. It covered fundamental issues concerning social anxiety disorder, including its concept, characteristics, causes, clinical features, and diagnostic criteria according to the DSM-5. Furthermore, the project discussed assessment and treatment methods, with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBR) being used as a continuous intervention throughout the treatment process. Intervention results showed that the client experienced a reduction in symptoms of social anxiety disorder and a change in unhealthy perceptions, leading to improved positive relationships. Simultaneously, the client was able to apply skills in managing emotions, problem-solving, goal setting, and other aspects of life.
11. Practical Applicability: Based on the results obtained through theoretical research and practical clinical case studies, the project has contributed further evidence to the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in psychological intervention for social anxiety disorders. At the same time, the limitations and recommendations of the project also provide necessary lessons and information for practitioners to increase the effectiveness of future therapy.
