After researching the advantages and disadvantages of ASEAN in the new context, specifically from 2020 to the present, the trainees have completed the objectives and tasks of the project. A summary of some of the results is as follows:
- Chapter 1: Theoretical basis and overview of ASEAN's development process
The author analyzed the theories of constructivism and regionalism, and their application in studying the impact of the new context on ASEAN.
- Chapter 2: Advantages and Disadvantages of ASEAN in the New Context
The author has pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of ASEAN from 2020 to the present. These factors include the volatility of the global situation and the actions of countries outside the region, as well as internal issues within ASEAN and its member states.
- Chapter 3: Impacts on Vietnam and some proposals regarding Vietnam's participation in ASEAN in the future.
The author assessed the impacts of the ASEAN context, including both favorable and unfavorable aspects, on Vietnam's participation in ASEAN in both positive and negative ways; and from there offered some recommendations for Vietnam to participate more effectively in ASEAN cooperation in the future.

Practical applications: The research results can be used as a reference for policy researchers and those involved in foreign affairs, especially in matters related to ASEAN, by analyzing the impacts of the current situation on ASEAN's activities and Vietnam's participation to find appropriate responses, contributing to enhancing ASEAN's effectiveness and raising Vietnam's role in ASEAN.
13. Future research directions: In the future, the author will continue to research the process of ASEAN implementing the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, as well as forecast the factors affecting ASEAN cooperation in the future.
