10. Summary of thesis results:
After 5 years (2013-2018) of implementing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China's loans have become a burden for many countries participating in the BRI, some of which are even at risk of defaulting and having to use national benefits and resources to repay China. Many assessments say that the BRI has entered a transformation phase that even China could not have expected, or that it is a clear debt trap policy that has been planned since China launched this initiative. Therefore, China's implementation of its debt policy has certain impacts on countries around the world and the region. In addition, it has strong impacts on Vietnam, especially on Vietnam's economic development and defense policies. Although there have been many studies pointing out China's "debt trap", there are not many documents mentioning the "debt trap policy" in China's BRI. The implementation of the topic "Debt trap policy in China's Belt and Road Initiative (2013-2018)" aims to clarify China's debt strategies being implemented, provide a comprehensive view of China's "debt traps" for countries in the region and the world, thereby proposing some lessons and implications for Vietnam in the process of cooperating with China to develop the economy and improve the capacity of the country's infrastructure system. During the process of implementing the thesis, the student approached the topic in a multi-dimensional way through many related sources of documents from many domestic and foreign authors to present clear arguments and points of view, evaluating the issue of China's "debt trap policy" from many different aspects.
11. Practical applicability: The results of the thesis can be a good reference document, serving the research work on the economic relations between Vietnam and China, providing some advice, recommendations, and proposals for Vietnam in its relations with China. Data on the debt of countries to China are experiences for Vietnam to avoid falling into China's "debt traps".
12. Further research directions: Following the results of the thesis, it is possible to continue to conduct research topics and evaluate China's debt trap policy in the period 2018-present. However, China's implementation of BRI is a long-term strategy, so the policies that China implements around BRI are always issues of interest to the international community. From there, it is possible to approach research on BRI in many different directions, not just focusing on debt trap policy.
13. Published research works related to the thesis: None.

Many reviews said that the BRI entered a period of metamorphosis that China could not have expected or that it was a clear debt-trap policy that had been planned since China launched this initiative. Therefore, the Chinese implementation of its debt policy has certain impacts on countries in the world and the region. Besides, it has strong impacts on Vietnam, especially on Vietnam's economic and defense development policies. Although there have been many studies showing the "debt trap" of China, but there are not many documents mentioning "debt trap policy" in the BRI of China.
