Summary of thesis results: From the research results of the topic “Applying individual social work in supporting women experiencing gender-based violence at the House of Peace.The author investigated the reality and characteristics of women who experience gender-based violence (gender-based violence) and the problems they face within the Peaceful Home. The research results show that there are still many difficulties in providing support services to women, especially legal support services. The author found that individual social work is a suitable and necessary intervention for this situation. Individual social work involves psychological counseling, providing knowledge, and guiding women in skills to mobilize resources and maximize their potential to independently solve and cope with their own problems. This topic serves as a basis for applied research and demonstrates the importance and urgency of applying individual social work to assist women who experience gender-based violence.

Summary of the findings of the thesis: From the research's outcomes of“Applying case work in working with women subjected to gender-based violence at Peace House Shelter – PHSwriter has found the facts and features of women subjected to gender based violence (GBV) and issues they have faced in PHS. The research has pointed out the challenging in providing services for its temporary residents, particularly legal aid. The writer recognizes case work is essential and appropriate in this situation. The case work provides counseling, information, developing skills and introducing tools so women will make their own decisions in dealing with their problems, thus to show their potential.

This project is the foundation for case work research in working with women subjected to GBV, as well as showing its importance and urge in applying case work in supporting them.

The result of the research“Applying case work in working with women subjected to gender-based violence (at Peace House Shelter – PHS)could be used as reference in theory or practice for those who would want to know the case work approach in supporting women subjected to GBV. In addition, the research has also given recommendations based on working experience with residents at PHS to contribute to case studies and solutions and best practice in working with women suffered to GBV in Vietnam.
