10. Summary of the thesis results:
Through field research during the Vu Lan Bon festival in Thua Thien Hue province, combined with collected materials, the author has obtained the following results for this thesis: A preliminary understanding of the development of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province through the Vu Lan Bon Buddhist festival in Thua Thien Hue province.
This study analyzes the origins and content of the Vu Lan Bon festival in tradition and the current Vu Lan festival in Hue. It identifies changes in the festival over time, common unifying aspects of the Vu Lan festival nationwide, and the distinctive characteristics of the Buddhist Vu Lan Bon festival in Thua Thien Hue province. It explores the rituals performed during the Vu Lan Bon festival, as well as some rituals performed during the Vu Lan festival season in Thua Thien Hue province, and from there, explains the significance of those rituals.
This study aims to highlight the material and spiritual values, as well as clarify some shortcomings of the current Vu Lan festival in Thua Thien Hue, thereby proposing solutions to overcome or at least minimize these shortcomings.
11. Practical applications:
This thesis will serve as a document for religious management in Thua Thien Hue province to better understand the meaning, origin, development, and organization of the Buddhist Vu Lan Bon festival in the province. It will also examine existing shortcomings of the Vu Lan Bon festival and propose solutions to address them, thereby enabling the development of more appropriate management policies.
This thesis can serve as a reference for further research on the Vu Lan Festival, particularly in Thua Thien Hue province. It also provides a valuable resource for Buddhist monks and nuns to better understand the Vu Lan Festival and the rituals they perform annually during this season. This understanding can help them adjust their practices and those of their followers to minimize shortcomings during the festival.

Continue to delve deeper into the rituals discussed in this thesis, examining their execution (language, behavior, gestures, attire, etc.) and clarifying the meaning of each step. Further research should be conducted on the chants, sutras, and mantras used in these rituals, exploring the messages conveyed to the followers and relating them to Buddhist doctrines. Further study should be undertaken on Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue Province and its specific Buddhist rituals. Identify the changes in these rituals over time and predict future trends.

Through the actual survey of Vu Lan festival in Thua Thien Hue province and some materials found to write the thesis, the writer obtained the following results:
Preliminary study the development of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province through the Vu Lan Buddhist festival in Thua Thien Hue province.
Analyzing the origin and content of Vu Lan holidays in the tradition and current Vu Lan holidays in Hue. Thereby, the changes in the festival over time, the unified common points of the Vu Lan festival national and the typical features of the Vu Lan festival of Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province.
Find out about the rituals held during Vu Lan, as well as some of the rituals held during the Vu Lan festival season in Thua Thien Hue province and then show the significance of those rituals.
Indicates material values, the spirit as well as to clarify some inadequacies of the Vu Lan in Hue festival today, which sets out the measures to overcome or at least mitigate the inadequacies that come minimum.
11. Ability to apply in practice:
The thesis will be a document for the religious administration in Thua Thien Hue province to have a basis to better understand the meaning, origin of formation, development, and the way to hold Buddhist Vu Lan ceremony here. The existence of the Vu Lan festival here, refer to the remedies in the thesis which could give policy direction more appropriate management.
The thesis can be the source of reference for further studies on Vu Lan festival as well as Vu Lan festival in Thua Thien Hue province later.
The thesis is also a reference material for Buddhist monks to better understand about Vu Lan ceremony as well as the rituals they practice annually during the Yulan festival season. Through which can adjust themselves and their followers in order to minimize the discrepancies in the festive season.

Continue to study more deeply about the rituals included in the thesis, from the manner of implementation (language, behavior, gestures, costumes ...) and clarify the meaning of each implementation step.
Continue to study the chanting readings, sutras, mantras ... in the rituals and then learn the messages conveyed in them by the devotees, relating it to Buddhist teachings. Continue to learn about Buddhism in Thua Thien Hue province as well as Buddhist rituals here. Find the changing characteristics of the rituals up to now, and then predict the direction of change of those rituals in the coming time.
