Student scientific research is a professional activity that attracts a large number of students every year. During the research process, students participate in discussions on "Research Methods in Psychology" to equip themselves with more knowledge and scientific research skills. Every year, students of the Faculty also win many important awards at student scientific conferences at all levels such as: Second Prize, Third Prize at the Ministry level in the 2020-2021 school year, First Prize at the Ministry level in the 2017-2018 school year, Second Prize at the National University level in the 2016-2017 school year, Third Prize at the National University level in the 2015-2016 school year; Second Prize at the National University level in the 2014-2015 school year.
Students of the Faculty are very excited and look forward to an annual professional activity, especially first-year students, which is the seminar "Learning methods at university level". The seminar is an opportunity for first-year students to better understand learning activities at university level, thereby being more ready and proactive in their studies. In addition, students are very interested in scientific seminars and discussions with experts. Through these professional activities, students not only have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of psychology but also improve their foreign languages. Professional activities are great conditions for students to meet domestic and international psychology experts as well as exchange interesting things about psychology with friends. The international conference “Psychological trauma and support activities”, the scientific discussion “Similarities and differences between psychologists, counselors and social workers”, “Neuroscience and mental health”, “Educational psychology in China”, “Psychological supervision for practicing psychologists”, “Understanding issues in Positive Psychology”, “Esther Bick’s method of observing newborn babies”, “Some suggestions for assessing and treating clients with suicidal ideation”, “Assessment and treatment of clients who have been sexually abused”, “Psychological care services in ASEAN”, “What does research on maternal rats tell us about depression?” …. presented by experts from China, the US, Belgium, France, and many other countries in the world are very meaningful professional activities for students.
In addition to professional activities, students of the Faculty of Psychology are very excited and enthusiastic about extracurricular activities. Some useful extracurricular activities in the 2016-2017 school year include: "Green Humanities", contributing to making the school environment green - clean - beautiful; the "March Fire Passing" gratitude ceremony, offering incense to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Hanoi City Martyrs' Cemetery; the "Dream Books" charity program at the Oncology Department of the National Children's Hospital, the Francophone Festival - Soirée Francophone; exchanges with students of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City; the "Embrace of Love" festival at the Children's Palace, the program "Vietnam - International Student Union and Exchange Day"... In addition, movement activities such as: donating to support flood victims, donating blood, protecting the environment launched by the school always receive the attention and participation of many students in the Faculty. Extracurricular activities greatly support students in practicing life skills, expanding and strengthening friendships as well as contributing to the community.
