Prof. Dr. Tu Binh Minh - Environmental Science and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son - Information Technology.
Regarding Research.com's ranking method, the evaluation system is based on the scientist's D-index - this is the H-index and the number of articles by field of scientists on the database systems of IEEE, ACL, Springer, AAAI, USENIX, Elsevier, ACM and LIPIcs. In this ranking, the Research.com website reviewed data of 166,880 scientists with the world's top publication and citation productivity.
Research.com divides into 24 areas for ranking, which are: Animail Science and Veterinary; Biology and Biochemistry; Business and Maanagement; Chemistry; Computer Science; Earth Science; Ecology and Evolution; Economics and Finance; Electronics and Electrical Engineering; Engineering and Technology; Environmental Sciences; Genetics and Molecular Biology; Immunology; Law and Political Science; Mathematics; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Medicine; Microbiology and Neuroscience.
In these 24 fields, 14 Vietnamese scientists (an increase of 3 people compared to last year) were recognized in 6 fields in Research.com's rankings: Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Materials Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Community Medicine and Social Sciences.
Interestingly, the Vietnamese scientists ranked are all from universities, and are leaders of strong research groups. And Hanoi National University leads, with 4 scientists ranked in the world in all 3 fields: Engineering Technology, Environmental Science, and Computer Science.
The above statistics reflect the continuous progress, efforts and integration of Vietnamese scientists, the fields in which Vietnam is recognized on the world's scientific map.
At the same time, it also shows that Vietnamese science and technology must continue to strive more. We must invest more in scientists, in strong research groups, in universities and in key spearheads, so that Vietnamese science and technology can increasingly rise, approach international standards and levels, integrate more strongly, and stand shoulder to shoulder with world science.
