Vietnam National University, Hanoi's policy to attract outstanding scientists.

In accordance with the National Strategy on Attracting and Utilizing Talents until 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by Decision No. 899/QD-TTg dated July 31, 2023, of the Prime Minister; and based on Circular No. 05/2023/TT-BKHCN dated May 22, 2023, of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) detailing some contents on attracting, utilizing, and valuing individuals working in science and technology and operational needs, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) implements a policy to attract outstanding scientists with the following contents:

1. Target audience
Scientists with outstanding research achievements, both domestically and internationally (including Vietnamese citizens abroad and foreigners), who wish to participate in scientific research and assume leadership positions in strong research groups in the science and technology fields prioritized by VNU (according to the list attached to this Announcement), are eligible.
2. Benefits
- Entitled to preferential treatment as prescribed by the State and VNU Hanoi;
- Priority access to shared facilities and equipment of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; guaranteed employment conditions, equipment, and implementation of policies and mechanisms as agreed upon to promote key science and technology fields in Vietnam;
- Receive funding of 3 billion VND over 3 years to carry out science and technology tasks;
- Investment is recommended to enhance capacity building and develop a strong research team.
3. Working arrangements
- Signing of employment contracts/labor contracts/professional service contracts.
Depending on the type of contract, scientists can proactively work at Vietnam National University, Hanoi, domestically, or abroad...
