The KX.01/16-20 program is a key national science and technology program titled "Research on key issues in social sciences and humanities serving socio-economic development," managed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and implemented from 2016 to 2020. The program integrates four research pillars in the social sciences and humanities: economics, society, culture, and humanities. Over five years of implementation, 52 projects under the program have achieved many remarkable results in terms of applied products, serving the development and refinement of the Party and State's policies and guidelines, as well as domestic and international publications. It has contributed to training hundreds of doctoral and master's students and enhancing the research capacity of thousands of researchers nationwide.

The conference was held using a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation.
As a member of the Program, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities contributed 7 research projects with high practical value and achieved encouraging results. 3 projects were rated Excellent, 4 projects were rated Satisfactory, 63 scientific reports of various types were published, 5 international articles, 39 domestic articles were published, 8 monographs were produced (including 1 monograph published by the highly reputable publisher SPRINGER), and support was provided for the training of 35 master's and 11 doctoral students, demonstrating the strong connection between research and training.
In particular, the School's 7 tasks have resulted in 10 policy recommendations that have been sent to central agencies, ministries, and departments such as the National Assembly, the Central Theoretical Council, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as serving as a basis in developing strategies for many localities, associations, businesses, universities, and research institutes.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector) chaired the meeting at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Speaking at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' venue, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong reiterated the need to further enhance the role of social sciences and humanities in building the scientific basis and arguments for the Party's guidelines and the State's policies. For the social sciences and humanities to develop, there needs to be innovation in thinking, training, and research in this field. From an international perspective, researchers Eric Neumayer and Charles Joly have recognized the essential role of social sciences, humanities, and arts in achieving sustainable development goals. The main challenges when transitioning to a "carbon-free economy" lie in the social aspects of technology.

Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong delivered a speech representing the University.
Through this, the Vice Rector expressed his hope that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities would become a hub, creating an environment for individuals and organizations researching in the field of social sciences and humanities to connect and develop. Currently, the University has 8 strong research groups that serve as a foundation for creating connections and sustainable, long-term development in social sciences and humanities. In the near future, the University will implement several key research ideas related to "Research on the development of Vietnamese social sciences and humanities in the digital transformation era to serve international integration and national development in the period 2021-2030", including:|
