On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, sent a congratulatory letter, expressing the profound concern of the Party and the State for the educational, training, and research endeavors of the University.
In the letter, the General Secretary emphasized the important milestones of the eight-decade journey of tradition and development, while acknowledging the great achievements in training, scientific research, policy consulting, knowledge creation in social sciences and humanities, and international integration; affirming the position of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as one of the prestigious universities with a long tradition and a leading institution of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland. The General Secretary wrote:
On behalf of the Party and State leadership, I acknowledge, commend, and warmly congratulate the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on its outstanding results and achievements over the past 80 years, and especially over the past 30 years of development within the structure of Hanoi National University.”The General Secretary expressed:
I believe and expect that, with the philosophy of 'culture - modernity - openness' and a spirit of innovation, the University will continue to develop breakthroughs, combining tradition and innovation, culture and the times, academic and integration, excellence and the masses; by 2030, some of the University's social sciences and humanities fields will be ranked among the top 150 universities in Asia.”The congratulatory letter from the General Secretary is a great encouragement and motivation for the staff, employees, and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to resolutely pursue comprehensive innovation, achieve breakthrough development, and continuously enhance the position and reputation of a leading center for scientific research, innovation, and dissemination of knowledge in social sciences and humanities in the country; to train high-quality human resources, provide policy advice, serve the community, contribute to society, and make practical contributions to the development of the country in the new era.
