Attending the exchange and signing ceremony, on behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Rector), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) and representatives of leaders of departments, functional centers, leaders of Faculties with training programs that were assessed for quality: Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Languages.
On the side of Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center (KĐCLGD) there is Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung (Director). The External Evaluation Team (EA) consists of 5 members led by Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam (former Director of Danang University).
In his opening speech, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan thanked Thang Long Education Quality Assurance Center for accompanying the School in the work of accreditation and improvement, enhancing the quality of training to meet the requirements of society. While preparing the self-assessment documents and evidence of the 04 training programs, the Faculties and related departments have also made efforts, but certainly there will be some incomplete and unscientific places. The School looks forward to receiving specific comments from teachers in the Assessment Team so that the departments can continue to improve.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung: The Center thanks the school for trusting and choosing the Center to continue to be a companion in the accreditation activities, improving the quality of training programs. The content and objectives of the preliminary survey are that the Evaluation Team will make specific requests and recommendations for the school to review the supporting documents of the accredited training programs this time. The time from now until the official survey is about 1 week, so we hope that the school as well as teachers in the Faculties will focus human resources and resources on the accreditation work, completing the most complete supporting documents so that the official survey will be conducted quickly and achieve high results.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung expressed her joy at continuing to accompany the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the quality assessment of training programs.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung emphasized: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a large university with a long tradition and an important position not only in VNU but also in the higher education system in Vietnam in general. Therefore, the Center has invited experts with rich experience in educational quality assessment to participate in this evaluation delegation, hoping to provide useful recommendations to help the University improve the quality of its training programs and educational activities in general.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong briefly introduced the development history of the School as well as the 4 faculties and 4 majors with accredited training programs.
Representing the Delegation, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam (Head of the Delegation) expressed his admiration and appreciation for the tradition and achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in training, scientific research and community service. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam also emphasized that the highest goal of quality assessment and evaluation activities is to make the most appropriate recommendations and proposals to help the training unit improve, enhance quality, and contribute better and better to the community and society.

Some members of the Evaluation Team also noted some points that need to be added to the dossier, paying special attention to evidence of community service and student support activities in learning: textbooks, documents (data on student use online and directly in the Faculty library system, school library, VNU); the dossier must demonstrate internal comparison, comparison with schools in Vietnam and abroad when building the training program; many legal evidences are not yet available and need to be added.
At the end of the discussion, Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam (Head of the Evaluation Delegation), Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung (Director of Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center) and Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Principal of the School) signed the minutes of completion of the preliminary survey.
According to the plan, the EIA Team will conduct an official survey from March 8 to March 12.
