Opening of the official survey for quality accreditation of 07 undergraduate programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

In accordance with the plan for self-assessment and accreditation of training programs, on December 24th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony for the official survey to accredit the quality of 7 undergraduate training programs of the university.
 

Attending the opening ceremony, on behalf of the units under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, were leaders from the Institute for Quality Assurance in Education, the Center for Physical Education and Training, the Department of Natural Sciences and Social Sciences Knowledge Services, the Center for Library and Digital Knowledge, the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Hospital, the Me Tri Dormitory Management Board, and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Student Support Center.

Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) and heads of functional departments, representatives of the leadership of faculties and departments with accredited training programs, and a large number of lecturers and students from the university.

Representing the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Assurance were Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung (Director) and all members of the evaluation team for the 7 training programs, led by Prof. Dr. Dang Ung Van.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung (Director of Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Assurance) expressed her gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for trusting and choosing the Center as a partner in this accreditation of training programs. As one of the leading universities in the country in the field of social sciences and humanities, a core member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with a tradition of nearly 80 years, the Center has selected highly experienced experts to participate in the evaluation team. The evaluation team will work with the highest sense of responsibility, objectivity, honesty, and evidence-based principles, aiming to highlight strengths and provide valuable recommendations to the University. We hope that over the next 7 days, the University will provide the necessary conditions for the team to complete its work successfully and on schedule with the highest quality.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Director of the Thang Long Center for Science and Technology Education, introduced the experience and areas of responsibility of each member of the Evaluation Team.

Representing the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong expressed her gratitude that, despite the extremely busy end-of-year period, the faculty members of the Accreditation Team had arranged their schedules and time to accompany the university. We are honored and confident that the faculty members participating in the Team are experts in the fields of training, educational management, and have extensive experience in building quality accreditation systems. They will undoubtedly provide very relevant and valuable recommendations to help the university continue to improve and enhance the quality of its training in the future.

Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong gave a general overview of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the highlights of the 7 accredited programs: Journalism, Public Relations, Management Science, Office Management, Hotel Management, Religious Studies, and Vietnamese Studies.

Dr. Phan Van Kien (Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training) expressed his delight at being one of the units whose training programs were accredited this time. This is not only an opportunity for each unit to review its strengths, achievements, and shortcomings, providing a basis for future strategic planning, but also a crucial step in building an accreditation culture and a habit of documenting evidence during operations. Based on the recommendations of the Accreditation Team, we are confident that we will make many improvements to further enhance the quality of training in this field and better serve society.
