Principal Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the 2022 Financial Conference
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized: Financial activities play a very important role, have a great and direct influence on the School's fields of operation. In 2022, the School's financial activities will always be implemented on the principle of adequate, reasonable and valid revenue and expenditure, always closely following the main policies and tasks as well as the actual conditions of the School for implementation. Validity is demonstrated in always complying with financial regulations, principles and rules at all levels. Through this conference, the School's Board of Directors wants to listen to comments on financial revenue and expenditure, internal expenditure from units to make reasonable and timely adjustments, ensuring smooth financial work - planning for 2023.
At the Conference, Chief Accountant, Head of Planning and Finance Department Kim Thi Diep Ha presented a report on the school's financial situation in 2022, emphasizing: Although the epidemic situation in 2022 was complicated, with many changes in financial regulations and training regulations, the school still ensured stable sources of revenue to spend on activities according to the set plan. Special attention was paid to investing in human resources: training and improving professional qualifications; supporting scientific research and international publications, increasing income for staff and lecturers. The report also proposed a financial work plan for 2023, focusing on a number of main contents: Thoroughly, economically and effectively using investment sources from the budget, VNU; strengthening the development of revenue sources (from cooperation activities, tuition fees of accredited programs, scientific research topics, ...). Chief Accountant Kim Thi Diep Ha also emphasized some new points in the Guidelines for the payment and settlement process, adding forms of documents to ensure that the collection and disbursement of units are implemented in accordance with State regulations, and payment and settlement are quick and convenient. Each unit should only appoint one officer to be the focal point in charge of collecting all payment and settlement documents from lecturers and staff of their unit and transferring them to the Planning and Finance Department.

Head of Planning and Finance Department Kim Thi Diep Ha noted that the staff who make the final payment of the units should do it in a rolling manner, the final payment should be made as soon as the documents arrive, at the latest 3 months after issuing the financial invoice.

The delegates attending the Conference spoke enthusiastically and openly: besides the in-depth discussions on financial revenue and expenditure issues in each specific field, many opinions were shared with the school leaders about the difficulties and challenges of financial work in the face of the impact of the objective situation and the inevitable trend of financial autonomy. Many opinions proposed solutions to increase revenue through creative and proactive training and scientific research activities.

Concluding the Conference, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan thanked the leaders of units, staff and lecturers in the whole school for their companionship, sharing and understanding. The opinions contributed and discussed in today's Conference, the Board of Directors and the accounting and finance team of the School will be receptive, absorb, research and adjust in the actual conditions allowed and ensure compliance with the State's regulations. In the context of higher education transformation, training units are facing many challenges, the state budget for education investment is decreasing, stabilizing revenue sources is a success, besides, it is necessary to proactively propose solutions to diversify revenue sources to focus on investing in people, human resources; improve the income and life of cadres, civil servants and workers. On behalf of the School's Board of Directors, the Principal would like to send New Year wishes of peace and prosperity to all leaders and staff working in finance and accounting of the units, as well as all staff and lecturers, and believes that in 2023 all work of the School will achieve many successes, including financial work.
