This readiness assessment was conducted online. Participating from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) and leaders and staff of the Center for Training Quality Assurance; and representatives of the leadership and staff of the Faculty of Anthropology.
Representatives from the AUN Secretariat and units with accredited training programs participated in the meeting online.
Representatives from the Board of Directors, the Center for Training Quality Assurance, and the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, participated in the inspection.
During the 322nd AUN-QA accreditation round, Vietnam National University, Hanoi had 5 training programs assessed for quality, including one program from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: the Bachelor of Anthropology program, under the Faculty of Anthropology.
To qualify for external evaluation, the Faculty of Anthropology prepared a Self-Assessment Report based on the AUN Quality Assessment Standards version 4.0, the latest updated version from 2022, and also prepared supporting documentation related to the curriculum as required by AUN.
According to the plan, the AUN evaluation team will begin its work from March 21 to 23, 2023. The external evaluation team will conduct on-site surveys at educational institutions. The opening ceremony for the accreditation assessment of 5 training programs of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in general, and the Anthropology program of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular, will be held in the auditorium on the 8th floor of Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, organized by the Institute for Quality Assurance in Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in coordination with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The evaluation schedule has been sent to the units by the AUN secretariat for implementation.
To date, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had 8 undergraduate programs certified for quality according to the AUN-QA standards.
Accredited training programs affirm the university's commitment to society and employers regarding the quality of its graduates – human resources trained to rigorously controlled quality standards. Students studying AUN-QA-certified programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will easily participate in student exchanges, scientific research, internships, or credit transfers with universities in the Asian region. Furthermore, graduates from these programs will have many advantages in finding employment in the regional and international job markets.
