On February 13, the Secretariat of the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance Organization (AUN-QA) held a meeting to discuss the readiness of units with quality-assessed training programs from March 21 to March 23, 2023. The meeting discussed the preparation of facilities in the working room, interview room, opening and closing ceremony room of the delegation, checking the camera system, sound, internet connection speed, logistics, etc. of each unit with training programs to be assessed.
This readiness assessment was held online. Participating at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) were Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Rector) and leaders and experts of the Center for Training Quality Assurance; representatives of leaders and staff of the Faculty of Anthropology.
Representatives of the AUN Secretariat and units with accredited training programs participated in the meeting online.
Representatives of the Board of Directors, the Center for Training Quality Assurance and the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities attended the inspection.
In the 322nd AUN-QA accreditation, Hanoi National University has 05 training programs assessed for quality, of which the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has 01 training program, which is the Bachelor's program in Anthropology, under the Faculty of Anthropology.
To be eligible for external assessment, the Faculty of Anthropology has written a Self-Assessment Report according to the AUN Quality Assessment Standards version 4.0, the latest updated version from 2022 of AUN, as well as prepared supporting documents related to the training program as required by AUN.
According to the plan, the AUN Evaluation Team will start working from March 21 to 23, 2023. The external evaluation team will conduct direct surveys at educational institutions. The opening ceremony of the evaluation and accreditation of 5 training programs of VNU in general and the Anthropology training program of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular will be held at the 8th floor hall of Building E of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, chaired by the Institute for Educational Quality Assurance, VNU, and coordinated by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The evaluation schedule has been sent by the AUN secretariat to the units for implementation.
Up to now, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had 08 undergraduate training programs receiving quality accreditation certification according to AUN-QA standards.
Accredited training programs affirm the school's commitment to society and employers about the quality of the training program's output products, which are human resources trained according to strictly controlled quality standards. Students studying programs that meet AUN-QA standards at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will easily conduct student exchanges, scientific research, internships or credit transfer with universities in the Asian region. In addition, graduates from these programs will have many advantages in finding jobs in the regional and international markets.
