After more than one month of document research and five days of on-site work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the External Evaluation Team of the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation has completed the official survey to assess the quality of six training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Attending the closing ceremony of the official external evaluation survey on March 22, 2025 were representatives from several functional units of Hanoi National University; the Board of Directors, the University Council and leaders of the 05 faculties/institutes with evaluated training programs, and representatives from functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. During the meeting, the External Evaluation Team reported on the overall evaluation results and preliminary evaluations according to each standard for 06 training programs, including: 03 master's degree programs (Political Science, Management Science, Journalism and Media Management) and 03 undergraduate programs (Southeast Asian Studies, Japanese Studies, Sino-Vietnamese Studies). This is the result of more than a month of studying documents, records, and evidence; visiting facilities, libraries, laboratories, information technology systems, etc., that support the school's training and research activities. Based on this, the Evaluation Team has made recommendations and suggestions for improving and enhancing the quality of training at the school. The set of standards for evaluating the quality of training programs includes 11 criteria, such as: Objectives and learning outcomes of the training program; Structure and content of the curriculum; Approaches to teaching and learning; Assessment of student learning outcomes; Faculty, researchers, and staff; Students and student support activities… With recommendations and advice from experienced experts in various fields, from many universities across the country, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will select and apply quality standards and recommendations for improvement to enhance the quality of education at the university.
Members of the External Evaluation Team presented the official survey report assessing the quality of 06 training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Emphasizing that a culture of quality assurance is a decisive factor in determining the university's position and reputation in training and research, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, stated that the university has invested resources in developing a quality assurance system and implementing quality accreditation for educational institutions and training programs. To date, 100% of the university's undergraduate programs that meet the quality assessment criteria have undergone accreditation according to domestic and international standards.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that a culture of quality assurance is considered core to all activities of the university.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the quality of the survey, evaluation, and valuable recommendations of the External Evaluation Team.
In addition to quality assessment and accreditation, the University places great importance on quality improvement activities, regularly reviewing and adjusting training programs and related activities to enhance the quality of training and research, meeting the increasingly high demands of society. In addition, the university's training and research fields are also ranked among the top in many world rankings. These are remarkable figures, reflecting the continuous efforts to improve the quality of training and strengthen the position and prestige of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular and Vietnam National University, Hanoi in general within the national and regional higher education system.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation have signed a Memorandum of Completion for the Official Survey of 06 Training Programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
