After more than 01 month of document research and 05 days of direct work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the External Assessment Team of Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center has completed an official survey to assess the quality of 06 training programs (CTDT) according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Attending the closing ceremony of the official external assessment survey on March 22, 2025 were representatives of a number of functional units of Hanoi National University; the Board of Directors, the University Council and leaders of 05 faculties/institutes with assessed training programs, and representatives of functional departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. At the meeting, the External Evaluation Team reported the results of the general evaluation and preliminary evaluation according to each criterion of 06 training programs, including: 03 master's level training programs (Political Science, Management Science, Journalism and Media Management) and 03 undergraduate level training programs (Southeast Asian Studies, Japanese Studies, Han Nom). This is the result of more than a month of studying documents, records, and evidence; visiting facilities, libraries, practice rooms, information technology systems, etc. serving the school's training and research activities. On that basis, the Evaluation Team has made recommendations and proposals to improve and enhance the school's training quality. The set of standards for assessing the quality of training programs includes 11 criteria, such as: Objectives and output standards of training programs; Structure and content of teaching programs; Approaches in teaching and learning; Assessment of learning outcomes of learners; Team of lecturers, researchers, staff; Learners and activities to support learners... With recommendations and advice from experienced experts in various fields, from many universities across the country, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will refine and apply quality standards, recommend improvements, and enhance the school's training quality.

Emphasizing that the culture of quality assurance is a decisive factor in the position and reputation of the school in training and research, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities said that the school has invested resources to develop a quality assurance system and implement quality assessment of educational institutions and training programs. Up to now, 100% of university-level training programs that meet the school's quality assessment criteria have been assessed according to domestic and international standards.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities emphasized that quality assurance culture is considered the core of the school's activities.

In addition to quality assessment and accreditation, the School attaches importance to quality improvement activities, regularly reviewing and adjusting training programs and related activities to improve the quality of training and research, meeting the increasing demands of society. In addition, the school's training and research fields are also in the top of many world rankings. These are remarkable figures, demonstrating the continuous efforts to improve training quality, consolidate the position and prestige of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular and VNU in the national and regional higher education system.
