The meeting was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the School Council, Head of Training Department; Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal and leaders of functional departments, faculties/institutes/departments of the school.
On the side of Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center, there was the participation of Dr. Nguyen Van Duong - Director of the Center and members of the Evaluation Team.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU highly appreciated the effective cooperation between the two units. Accordingly, this is the third time the school has cooperated with the Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center to conduct external assessments of the school's training programs. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has absorbed and improved the professional contributions and dedication of the External Assessment Team to improve the quality of training.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized that quality culture is the core issue that the school focuses on implementing. Quality assurance work has been implemented early, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is the first university to establish a Quality Assurance Center. Up to now, all of the university's undergraduate training programs have met the requirements and been accredited domestically and internationally. In addition, the school's training and research fields are also in the top of many world rankings. The school regularly reviews and adjusts training programs and related activities to improve the quality of training and research, meeting the increasingly high demands of society.

In this assessment survey, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities conducted an external assessment of 03 master's level training programs (Political Science, Management Science, Journalism and Media Management) and 03 undergraduate level training programs (Southeast Asian Studies, Japanese Studies, Han Nom).
Dr. Nguyen Van Duong - Director of Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center highly appreciated the spirit of effective cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Evaluation Team to achieve the best results. The Evaluation Team includes experts in various fields to contribute the best professional opinions for improving and enhancing the training quality of the school.

At the meeting, members of the External Assessment Team reported the results of the self-assessment file study; the results of the examination of documents and evidence; the results of the inspection of facilities, interview rooms and conditions in preparation for the official survey.
The experts of the Evaluation Team and representatives of functional departments/faculties/institutes/departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also discussed, exchanged, and clarified the contents that needed to be edited and supplemented; and agreed on the contents that the University needed to prepare for the official survey.
Representatives of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the preliminary survey and external assessment of 06 training programs and agreed on the official survey plan.
The official survey to assess the quality of training programs is expected to take place from March 18 to March 22, 2025.
The external assessment team and representatives of the school's faculties/institutes discussed the work contents during the external assessment survey of the training programs.
