The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the University Council, Head of the Training Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector, along with leaders of functional departments, faculties/institutes/departments of the university.
Representing the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Assurance were Dr. Nguyen Van Duong - Director of the Center, and members of the evaluation team.
In her opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, highly appreciated the effective cooperation between the two units. This marks the third time the university has collaborated with the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation to conduct external evaluations of its training programs. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has incorporated the professional contributions and dedication of the external evaluation team to improve the quality of its training.
Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized that a culture of quality is a core issue that the university focuses on. Quality assurance work has been implemented early, with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities being the first university to establish a Quality Assurance Center. To date, all undergraduate programs at the university have met the requirements and have been accredited domestically and internationally. In addition, the university's training and research fields are ranked among the top in many world rankings. The university regularly reviews and adjusts its training programs and related activities to improve the quality of training and research, meeting the increasingly high demands of society.

During this evaluation survey, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities conducted an external evaluation of 3 master's degree programs (Political Science, Management Science, and Journalism and Media Management) and 3 undergraduate programs (Southeast Asian Studies, Japanese Studies, and Sino-Vietnamese Studies).
Dr. Nguyen Van Duong - Director of the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation - highly appreciated the effective cooperation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the evaluation team to achieve the best results. The evaluation team included experts in various fields to contribute the best professional opinions for improving and enhancing the quality of training at the university.

During the meeting, the members of the External Evaluation Team reported on the results of their review of the self-assessment report; the results of their examination of documents and evidence; and the results of their inspection of facilities, interview rooms, and preparations for the official survey.
Experts from the evaluation team and representatives from the functional departments/faculties/institutes/divisions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also discussed and clarified the contents that needed to be revised and supplemented; and agreed on the contents that the University needs to prepare for the official survey.
Representatives from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a preliminary external evaluation survey of 6 training programs and agreed on a plan for the official survey.
The official survey to assess the quality of training programs is scheduled to take place from March 18th to March 22nd, 2025.
The external evaluation team and representatives from the university's faculties/institutes discussed the work contents during the external evaluation survey of the training programs.
