Experts from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities host the Artificial Intelligence course for information and library professionals.

This morning, October 8, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in collaboration with the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information, the National Library of Vietnam, One World Magazine and Meta Group organized a training course on "Artificial Intelligence for information and library professionals".
The training course took place over two days, October 8-9, 2025, with the participation of a large number of people working in information and library work at university, college and public libraries, and people working in information and library work on Science and Technology at agencies, organizations and departments of Science and Technology.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung - Director of the National Library of Vietnam emphasized the importance of applying technology in the field of library information today.
Dr. Tran Van Tung - former Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information, hopes that personnel in the library sector will effectively apply knowledge of AI to improve productivity and work efficiency.
At the training course, students were shared about contents such as: overview of AI and applications in libraries, effective working strategies with AI (Prompt Engineering), building a dedicated Chatbot - smart virtual librarian; developing information resources, proactive communication, creating digital content, digitizing resources and exploiting AI responsibly. Students were awarded a certificate of completion of the course and were able to join the community supporting the development of AI applications in the field of information and libraries.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities pledged that with a team of experienced experts, the school is committed to accompanying the Vietnamese information and library industry in promoting the application of technology, especially artificial intelligence in this field.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the pioneering universities in Vietnam in applying artificial intelligence in research and teaching. Since 2020, the school has cooperated with Meta Group to implement a project to improve digital capacity for students and promulgate a Digital Capacity Framework for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (May 2024). Based on this result, the school was proposed by the Ministry of Education and Training to support the development of a Digital Capacity Framework for learners in the national education system and promulgated in January 2025.
Following those results, from 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to cooperate with Meta Group in the project to improve the capacity of using AI for lecturers and students of the University. More than 250 lecturers, specialists and 1,000 students will be trained in AI.
The school continues to affirm its pioneering role by becoming one of six higher education institutions nationwide participating in developing and compiling learning materials for the course "Digital Literacy" - a program to popularize digital skills for students nationwide.
