Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Hung - Head of the Department of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the pioneering universities in Vietnam in applying artificial intelligence in research and teaching. Since 2020, the university has collaborated with Meta Group to implement a project to enhance digital skills for students and issued a Digital Competency Framework for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (May 2024). Based on these results, the university was requested by the Ministry of Education and Training to support the development of a Digital Competency Framework for learners in the national education system, which was issued in January 2025.
Building on those achievements, since 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has continued its collaboration with Meta Group in a project to enhance the AI skills of its faculty and students. More than 250 lecturers and staff members and 1,000 students have received AI training.
The university continues to affirm its pioneering role by becoming one of six higher education institutions nationwide participating in the development and compilation of learning materials for the "Digital Literacy Program" - a program to popularize digital skills for students across the country.
