The University of Social Sciences and Humanities continues to seek expert opinions on the curriculum standards for the humanities field.

The Advisory Council on Humanities for Higher Education Levels (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture and Other fields) held an in-depth seminar on October 9, 2025, to gather feedback on the standards for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in the Humanities (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture and Other fields).
The seminar was attended by experts from the Department of Higher Education and 10 educational and training institutions nationwide (Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Hanoi University of Culture, University of Science and University of Education, Hue University, Academy of Journalism and Communication, Vinh University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM, Hanoi University of Education, University of Education, University of Da Nang, Hanoi University of Education 2); representatives from the Institute of Sociology and Psychology, and the Hanoi Museum.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Chairman of the Advisory Council on Humanities at all levels of higher education, delivered the opening remarks at the seminar.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education, Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council on Humanities at all levels of higher education, delivered a keynote address.
Following up on the working session on September 12th, scientists and experts contributed opinions on adjusting several criteria such as: learning outcomes, learning and research workload, curriculum structure and content, faculty quality, etc., in order to finalize the Draft Curriculum Standards.
The expert committee and the secretariat have compiled and incorporated feedback from scientists and lecturers to revise and finalize the draft.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, chaired the seminar.
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Head of the Training and Student Affairs Department, introduced the draft Curriculum Standards for the Humanities field.
 
The seminar received input from many experts.
Prior to this, starting in July 2025, the chuyên môn (specialized) committee began collecting, reviewing, and analyzing documents describing the services, activities, and work of the training sector; and collecting, compiling, and reviewing Vietnamese legal documents related to the training sector. The committee developed a survey questionnaire and conducted surveys on the learning outcomes of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and job groups within the sector; and organized the development of draft training program standards for the humanities field at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
As a leading training and research center in the country in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training the task of organizing the development of training program standards for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in the field of Humanities (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture group and Other groups).
These curriculum standards will be issued and applied by the Ministry of Education and Training in the development of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in the humanities (Vietnamese Language, Literature and Culture group and Other groups) nationwide.
