This morning, October 31, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi solemnly held the 3rd Graduation Ceremony of 2025, marking a memorable milestone in the journey of learning, training and growing up of more than 330 new bachelors, including 314 students of major 1 and 16 students of major 2.
When the diplomas were handed to each student, their faces were filled with pride, emotion and happiness. They not only received the results of four years of hard work, but also completed a special journey - the journey of a generation entering the classroom during the Covid-19 pandemic, when unprecedented difficulties tested their perseverance and will to learn.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed her emotion and pride: "This moment not only marks the end of a challenging learning journey, but also opens up a new journey for you - a journey of maturity, dedication and self-affirmation in society."
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized that this is a special class of students starting university in the middle of a pandemic, without bustling integration days, but instead online classes on small screens. But in that difficult time, they have demonstrated the mettle of the Humanities generation: resilient, adaptable and creative, knowing how to turn challenges into opportunities, constantly striving to achieve the proud results today.
This year’s graduation ceremony is even more meaningful as it takes place on the same year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities celebrates its 80th anniversary and 30th anniversary. During that journey, many generations of Humanities students have contributed to the position of a leading training and research center in the field of social sciences and humanities in the country. The success of today’s new graduates, as Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong affirmed, is “a valuable contribution to the University’s golden record of achievements in this meaningful anniversary year.”

Representing the new graduates, Hoang Thi Ghi - Faculty of International Studies emotionally shared her memorable four-year journey: “In the midst of the pandemic, our first lecture hall was not a classroom full of laughter but a quiet Zoom window. At that time, we brought with us confusion, anxiety and a desire to truly 'live' in our university years. The past four years have helped us not only gain knowledge, but also understand what perseverance, empathy and daring to dream are.”
In her emotional speech, Hoang Thi Ghi expressed her gratitude to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - "an academic launch pad, a place that nurtures a profound humanistic spirit"; thanked the teachers of the Faculty of International Studies - those who "unlocked the door to the world, taught us seriousness in research, objectivity in academics and honesty in thinking"; and expressed her deep gratitude to her family - the most loving support and steadfast belief on the path of knowledge.

The new graduate also did not forget to send a message to herself and her classmates: “Thank you for not giving up, even though I was tired and confused at times. If I could choose again, I would still choose this school, this major and this journey - to the fullest.”
When the diploma was held in the hands, many tears were shed - not only by the students but also by the teachers and parents. Four years of youth ended with smiles, hugs, and promises for the road ahead.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong sent a message to the new graduates: "No matter where you are, what job you do, always carry with you the spirit of Humanity - courage - creativity that you have been trained at this school."
The school would like to send our warmest congratulations to more than 330 new graduates. Wishing you success in your career and steadfastness in life! The school and your family will always follow, accompany and look forward to your new achievements on the journey ahead - the journey of intelligence, personality and the desire to contribute of the youth of Humanities!
