Hanoi National University announces the list of outstanding students in the 2023-2024 High School Olympic competition.

The Hanoi National University's High School Olympiad for the 2023-2024 academic year, covering subjects such as Literature, History, Geography, and Foreign Languages ​​(English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, French, German), took place on December 16th and 17th, 2023, attracting a large number of students nationwide.

This is the third year that Hanoi National University has organized this exam to motivate and encourage teachers and students to develop their creative abilities, excel in teaching and learning, and contribute to improving the quality of teaching at the high school level.

The Hanoi National University High School Olympiad is organized not only as an opportunity for teachers and students to gain experience, learn, and improve the quality of teaching and learning at the high school level; it also creates a beneficial playground for students to showcase their talents, familiarize themselves with the types of questions in gifted student exams, and prepare well for the national gifted student competition. Furthermore, it identifies students with aptitude in specific subjects for further training. This competition also contributes to strengthening cooperation in training between Hanoi National University schools and high schools in the region and universities nationwide.

Students who win prizes in the VNU Olympic competition are awarded certificates and commendations. The results of the Olympic competition are also used in university admissions. Specifically, students who win prizes in the VNU Olympic competition and have graduated from high school are given priority in admissions to member universities, schools, and faculties of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, according to the University Admissions Regulations and other regulations of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Many students currently in 10th or 11th grade participated in the exam. Therefore, according to the regulations: Students who won prizes in the VNU Olympic competition during their high school years but have not yet graduated will have their results reserved until the end of 12th grade.

The 2023-2024 academic year also marks the second consecutive year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has successfully hosted the Vietnam National University Hanoi's High School Olympiad for Literature and History, with the participation of nearly 300 students from 48 high schools nationwide.
 

On February 28, 2024, the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi issued Decision No. 546/QD-VNU-HN recognizing the title of outstanding student in the 2023-2024 High School Olympic Examination of VNU-HN for 453 students in all subjects.

Students who achieve the title of excellent student in the 2023-2024 High School Olympic Examination of Hanoi National University will be awarded certificates and entitled to benefits according to current regulations.
